  1. Of course, Enrique! There's always a discount for you.:classic: I'm still chuckling at the " You Blew it" P.S. As for the HLRUH, It'll take some serious debating on my half before I even consider it. The double relay sockets are the real hard part and I don't know what it'll take to even find them any more. And it takes about four to five hours each. If any one orders three or more, I will give a discount on the shipping. I DO NOT HAVE A SET PRICE AS OF YET" I have to talk to Mark at G & H Electric to see how much my parts are gonna be. ( 2 plugs and 16 terminals) I also have to check on relay sockets and relays. I'll get back to you guys tomorrow afternoon-ish with a set price and see how it flies. Dave
  2. O.K. Here are the first shots of the Proto-type. I found some plugs around the garage and used them on the new parking light harness. The photos don't have the power wire connected but I did hook some black 12 gauge wire into the relay and ran it to the battery. I Mounted the relay pack under the steering column using one of it's bolts. Ran the small harness up to the headlight switch's plugs, T'd them in and ran my power wire to the battery. Before plugging in the new harness, I measured the voltage at the left rear side marker @ 10.4 VDC after plugging in the new harness, I measured 11.92 VDC Thats a 1.5 (+/- .05 volts) increase!. ALL lights (dash and parking lights) were significantly brighter with the upgrade harness installed. Keep in mind that I DO HAVE THE "HEADLIGHT RELAY UPGRADE HARNESS" in my Z and Yes, my lights did get brighter after installing the first "headlight harnes" and now that the "parking light harness is in, The parking light are even brighter and the fuse has yet to get hot. The car was NOT running at the time and when I did start the car the voltage at the parking lights went up even more.
  3. I'm building a proto-type today and I'll post pictures and comments later on. Just keeping ya'll up to date, Dave.
  4. I see it now, But I don't think it needs any help or cleanup. Looks good, and the reason I mentioned the conversion thing is, I may not be the only one who could'nt see it. I can use it though, Thanks Dave
  5. I don't have anything in my arsenal to open a "DWG" file What do I use to open it?? Does it have to be DWG or can it be converted to JPG OR BMP?
  6. I'm also working on another one that someone else scanned but I'm gonna clean it up for you guys
  7. Figured I'd refresh this to see if any one was interested. Your more likely to remember you need something if you see it every once in a while.
  8. no problem, I used them for wheel design and graphic schemes, Figured that some one else could use it too. Dave.
  9. My build date is (8/70) and all plastic hooks w/ chrome screw were mounted to the seat, on the upper shoulder part of the seat
  10. I scanned these from a book and spent hours cleaning them up. 1) Put them in "paint" or some other (programming) and make a master piece. 2) Print them out and use then in the shop for.... dent locations, body modifications, see your car with tinted windows etc, etc. Do what you want with them, Have the kids color them in while deviously planning their future in the Z-car era.:cheeky:
  11. If you're able to make te repairs with out sending them back and forth, Go for it.
  12. He's definitely got my vote. We need to do what "the others" have been doing, Taking a bit or more of the old and mixing it into the new. Chevy's "SS" and the "PT Cruiser" for example only. Old world design but new world ideas and styling Ques. But you get the idea. Something like all wheel drive, 6-speed, 2-seater, Turbo V-6 with 240Z styling. 17" wheels with small back end. And keep the price reasonable for those who really want one in their garage or driveway. Too many times I see a good loking car go to hell by the designer adding heigth and width to the tail light area and making it look more like a tailgate on a big truck (Corvette for instance), rather than a small sports car like the datsuns and Ferrari's. or even the Miata's. Just my 2 cents.
  13. Looks good except for a goof on MY part. I need a (ga) after the "10" on the words under the battery. on the "overall diagram" picture. Also, the relay diagram shown above the overall diagram was actually a "FIX" for the first original harness's that I made. They did not work properly on the 72 1/2' to late 73's. Thats why I made the "Universal Harness" that works with all 240Z's depicted in the "Overall Diagram" just look at them and you'll see what I mean. Dave.
  14. If your looking for confirmation on the improvements to your stock headlight power and output go to http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14897&page=10 Look around and you'll find a couple of happy, compliment giving, satisfied people. Improved headlight output, Able to upgrade to hi power headlights without worry to the stock system, ease of instal, great precautionary measure towards the safety of your stock electrical switches and fuse box. You should be happy with the results, Just take your time and don't skimp on the materials. Dave.
  15. I'm lost or stupid, I looked but could not find it anywhere other than the fron page on the bottom in the "current forms area. Oops. found it. It's above the front Zcar picture marked "Forums":stupid: :stupid: :stupid: :stupid: :stupid: :stupid:
  16. if any one can figure out to keep this on the front page, I won't have to answer too many more questions on the matter. Any takers?
  17. It goes to the stock harness where you pulled the headlight plug from. It is a male plug (just like the stock headlight plug) and plugs into the stock harness as an input for the relays. Any other questions? if so, try this one. It's ALL in there http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20016&highlight=headlight+diagram
  18. Any improvement apon existing drafts and graghs will not be discouraged. But mearly thanked for. Thanks, and any improvements that any one else make are more than welcome. Dave
  19. http://www.jaderunner.com/Auto/240Z/Docs/daves_harness.doc With the cooperation of Many people on classic Zcars.com, I have put together a couple of links that even the most novice skilled people can use to make, build or even repair a "headlight relay harness" The link above has all the info on one site, the following links are the same but seperated for details that may have been lost in the process. The complete wiring diagram that may be enlarged using the "expand" button on the lower right side of the picture. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=10552&d=1136682638 Below is the link to the beginning of the instructions before pictures were added to minimize the pages. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=10503&d=1135924571 This is the link to the pictures that go with the instruction above. It's in "PDF" form. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=10505&d=1135974151 This is the instructions without the complete harness diagram at the bottom. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=10525&d=1136242415 This is a link to "Daves possible parking light fix" forum that I'm working on http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?p=157640&posted=1#post157640 Do what you will with the info above but it's everything I have at the moment. I WILL add to the instructions as soon as I get a chance. Dave.
  20. Thank you, SOOOO much Arne, you've been a big help to me and the rest of us with this little venture of mine, or should I say "ours" Dave.
  21. It's in color for a reason, To differenciate between wires from one point to another. I really don't feel like redoing the whole thing over just to make it black and white. It's free to who-ever can get it on here or have me e-mail it to them. I'd much rather have it made public. but thanks!
  22. If any one is interested, I have a "PAINT" drawing of the wiring schematic but unfortunately it's 5.93 MB Probably because it's in color but it's neccesary for the detail aspect of it. If any one can reduse it enough to post on here, I'm sure we'll all be happier for it. Let me know, Dave
  23. It took me a while but I managed to get thru all 13 pages of pictures. Damn!! That takes some serious dedication and skill. One of these days when the kids are gone, My wife WILL lose me to my new garage that I'll have built with my kids inheritanceROFL Incredible work and workmanship. He's got my applause:love: Dave.
  24. Call me crazy but I kinda like it. And the one below it looks like some good competion for the honda's and mazda's. looks kinda mean in a way. JM2Cents, Dave
