  1. It's normally snapped into place with 2 plastic nubs so just use a Heavy Duty Glue on it after cleaning both parts with Acetone or Brake cleaner. I had to do the same, works great now. Remember to regrease the hell out of it. Dave
  2. For any who missed out on this group Buy, A friend of mine bought 20 of them, had them Media Blasted, Powder Coated in Black and is selling the R/T's as a Finished Kit with a Black Urethane Bump stop. Here's a link to his site, where he also sells some other 240Z ONLY stuff.......... http://www.technoversions.com/DiffMountHome.html At only $7 more, it's a hell of a deal. Dave
  3. Yup, sounds like the Alternator. Try another one and go from there. Dave
  4. I wrote up a thread, comment on any other issues you're seeing with the site. And on subject, I won't use anything but Interstate. Tried the rest and my Interstate has outlasted everything. My last 60 month lasted for 9 years before I saw any issues, and yall know about me and aftermarket accesories and amps for my stereo's.... Dave
  5. That's kinda what it's all about though. Little pain, frustration, money and new customers and friends. It ballances out eventually. Of coarse I'm patient, I have a wife and 5 kids. If it weren't for patience, none of us would survive. Have a great week. Dave
  6. I only listed the original First 50 buyers. I'm actually knocking Chuck496 off the list and Ben is pretty close to the same action. I think Chuck may have sought one elsewhere and he has 1 post on his name, so there ya go. I'll ship it out tomorrow Mike. See there, patience pays off in the end. Thanks for your order. REXZ, I'll let ya know, there are a few in front of ya. Dave
  7. I sent out 2 Canadian Orders yesterday..... Stovepipe..........1 NorthernZ..........1 Many of the orders also include another upgrade (HLH, PLH, ZXP, or SCP) so they will hopefully go out this week as well. I think Brian Laine (he bought 20) Plans to Powder Coat them and sell them as a Kit with a Bump Stop. So if I run out, he'll likely have them for sale later on but I'm not 100% sure at the moment. Thanks again guys. Dave
  8. On my way to the Post office as we speak.... Here's what's going out........ Gary in NJ................1 mlc240Z..................1 Tbone028................1 Katorx7...................2 Jumblies..................1 kcc0234..................3 JoeZ.......................1 72zeta....................1 Maples71240Z..........1 ncolz......................1 barichardson............1 Mazdatsun428..........1 SoCalJDM240z..........1 ChrisB77..................1 I'll ship the Canadian Orders tomorrow. Tonight is my 20 year Class Reunion and I have a LOT of stuff to do before we leave this evening. Thanks to all for your patience and orders. I also found out that the Laser-cutting shop that cut my metal shops steel, made a mistake on the first batch. NOT the ones I'm delivering. Those are fine. But the first delivery only had the 2 outer holes and they weren't ovaled and there was no middle hole (for the early 240Z's) so he's gonna get back to me and let me know if I can do a discounted run. I'll get back to you guys on that and it'll be a ways out there, maybe a month or so. Thanks again, Dave
  9. Or maybe I missunderstood or misquoted. Either way, it's pretty damn cool. Would be awesome to have an 800 ft/lbs torque grocery getter for around town. As for ZTrain, it's attitudes like that, that are keeping us in the dark ages. Nothing personal against you and I totally understand where you're coming from. But maybe it's time we all work together to get Congress to open up the rules on drilling in the Protected Parks. The US has 2 TRILLION Barrels underground, that will easily sustain us for about a thousand years or so. But they won't drill because of possible damage to the park. We could easily be self sufficiant and no longer need Oil from other countries, but aparently we like war or some crap like that. Here's a few links....... http://www.rinf.com/columnists/news/the-us-governments-secret-colorado-oil-discovery http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25282295/
  10. No doubt, Roger was telling me about the New Lithium Ion Battery pack.. Lighter, more consistant power and only a meer $40K.
  11. the change was after 6/72. Your rear wheel cylinders are the easier and less expensive ones to buy. The only real difference that I've found is the angle of the inlet for the hard-line to go into the cylinder. The pre 6/72 has about a 45 degree angle as apposed to the post 6/72's 90 degree. You can use the pre 6/72 cylinder if you also switch out the hardlines that half circle the circumference of the back plate on the drum brakes. But I would stick with the style of cylinder that you have and just rebuild or replace them. Dave
  12. True Steve. It would have popped the 15 amp fuse quickly. This is one of the reasons I can't seem to stress enough about correct size fuses for each and efvery circuit. With the Parking light upgrade harness, there is still your existing fuse in the box and the power wire to the PLH is also fused. Double protection. Get back to me on the switch Bo. Let me know, Dave
  13. Also, connect a "T" fitting to your fuel line on top and connect a pressure gauge of some sort with long lines so you can watch it while you drive. If the pressure stays up when there is a loss of power, then the problem is somewhere else. I had an issue similar to yours and it turned out to be a Bad coil. Weird but true.
  14. Cause I didn't wanna have too many and have peolple flake out on me. It's not a product that I wanna sit on for a while. It's just easier to make 50, sell them over a 2 week period and move on. The only real reason I did another batch of 50 was because BrianZ8 wanted 20, so that made selling the other 30 a little easier. I'll let ya know how it goes. Dave
  15. I've already been emailed about the extra's but may end up with an extra or 2. Brian bought 20 of them. I think he plans to Powdercoat them and sell them as a kit, complete with bump stops or Poly mounts. We'll see. Dave
  16. ChrisB77, Yetterben, Chuck496......... Last chance, I'll be picking the R/T's up real soon and if I don't hear from you or recieve your payment soon, Your R/T will be GONE. Please let me know what's up. Dave
  17. ZTherapy Carbs...... $630 for the set K&N Air Filter kits ....$130 for the set Valve cover and Block filters $35 Radiator and fans ....$230 Aluminum Overflow...$55 Dave
  18. Think of the Ammeter as a Pointer. It sits between the battery and the fusebox. Think of the needle on the meter as a pointer that is showing you where the power is being drawn from. If you step on the brakes or use the turn signals, the needle will switng back toward the (-) Your system is working just fine. I would suggest that you reinforce or enlarge your alternator wire. You're pumping another 20+ amps thru an old wire that was designed or installed for a 40 amp alternator. I personally use an 8ga wire from the alternator to the starter for better power transfer. Though doing this will basically Bypass your ammeter and it won't show much swing after that. Leave the stock alternator and starter power wires installed and connected, but add the 8ga to it. In the picture below, you can make out the silver 8ga wire that goes from the starter to the frame rail, then it goes over to the alternators output bolt. Dave
  19. A 1-1/2" throat stub stack will essencially "Choke your carbs." You need the 1-3/4" wide stacks and air cleaner assemblies that will acompany the 1-3/4" SU's. I recently had Steve and Bruce at ZTherapy instal a brand new set of SU's onto my rebuilt 2.6 Liter in my 70' 240Z. Those, in combination with the MSA K&N filter kits (Very similar to the ones pictured above) and Air horns cut from a mangled stock air cleaner assembly, Have been ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!! I Won't go back to the stock box, there just ain't no convincing me otherwise. Hope the other info helps. Below is my new SU's and air cleaners. Dave
  20. Yup. Got it and marked the list below. a *=Payment received and the Form of payment is indicated by a pp for Paypal, Ca for cash, or a CH for check. As of this moment, there are 5 people who have not been marked as Paid. Their check or payment may be on the way as we speak but will not be marked on the list until I have it on my Paypal screen or in my hands. 21. I did have a CL ad. That's were a lot of the dumb responces came from. The more serious ones obviously came from the Datsun Classifieds. Dave
  22. probably 2 or 3. along with a couple "Send me all the pictures you got of the car cause I really want it" All together, there was probably about40 back and forth emails with potential buyers, the actual buyer and a few that never wrote back. I even got one that only said "$2300" and that's all it said. I responded promptly with a simple "In your Dreams"......... He never wrote back. Go figure. Dave
  23. Only too late if I don't hear from Yetterben or Chuck496 real soon. And you're on the wrong thread anyways. look for the R/T mount group buy on the front page. Dave
