  1. Hey Tom, Tom Selleck called, he wants his "Magnum P.I." outfit back. I like what they've done with the quarter windows but the headlight design leaves a little to be desired. I figure a couple more body changes and they'll have it right, or at least be more agreable with the classic society. Dave
  2. Alicia, Washington isn't huge but where in the state are you?? There is a great body shop in Everett called "Special Interest Auto Body" on Evergreen way. They did the work to a friends 240Z, in the same spot of the car, like yours. They did an Awesome job. Just remember that you get what you pay for. It's Illegal to drive in Washington without insurance, so your buddies friend should put up the bill. He's totally at fault as HE hit a non-moving vehicle and should'nt have been on the roads if he doesn't know how to drive in such conditions. I live in Marysville, and if you've kept up with the weather reports, every thing North of Everett (Marysville, Arlington, etc) have been hit Very Hard. I guess I'm lucky to have my front wheel drive Van (Grand Voyager LE) as it kicks arse in the snow. http://www.specialinterestautobody.com/ Hope that helps, Dave
  3. Got the front cross member swapped and was finally able to install the rebuilt front suspension

  5. I also found these for possible CZCC sales. I know I would buy at least one of each... Key fob "Mini licence plates" http://www.gppinc.com/details/1115_4.html Coffee mugs http://www.showyourlogo.com/custom-coffee-mug/custom-coffee-mug.htm?81,137 Hats and caps http://www.showyourlogo.com/custom-caps.htm

  7. Never heat the filler plug up, Heat the casing around it. Heating causes expansion and you want the plug to be cold. Heat the casing around the plug then Spray the plug with a "Computer Duster Spray". If you hold the can upside down, you'll get a liguid nitrogen?? spray. Then immediately try and turn the plug out. See if that works, It did for me. Dave.
  8. Not much, if any. I forgot to ad that the later 240Z's (later 73's) Have the weird 260/280Z plugs that I don't have access to. What's wrong with your harness, that you feel the need to replace it? Or are you just looking for options? Dave.
  9. The only issue with that theory is every time is "Skins" over, the POR thickens. You need to use the POR solvent to thin it back out. I've resealed my containers numerous times and each time the POR gets thicker and thicker. It does still harden but self leveling and how much area the remainder will cover become another issue.
  10. Because as far as I know or have been informed, there are 13 types of 240Z harness's alone. I have the supplies and the knowhow to make such a harness but set-up (wire purchase, connectors, terminals, wrap and tubing) would be expensive. And then there is the 13 types of engine harness's from late 69' to late 73" 240Z's. Each harness would need to be torn apart and documented. BUT............. I have seen companies on Ebay selling full reproduced, exact replica's for $500 to $700. you just need to keep an eye out for them because they dissapear quickly. Here's what I have for a 7/70' engine harness. It contains the exact measurements of each and every wire in the harness. Including Total length, connector in the passsenger side kick to the end point, wires that tap other wires, where they go, and the type of connector it goes to and the pin number. L=Large S=small M=male F=female 1-6=pin # B=bullet QD= quick disconnect terminal This is just for a starting point. Dave. 7 of 70 engine harness wiring.doc plugs for harness (Small).bmp
  11. How much is they asking and what all comes with the kit?
  12. Check with Courtesy Nissan in Texas. Courtesy parts? I think. I need one too. Dave.
  13. I was backed into, the first week I owned the car. Guy in a van had an extended ball hitch and hit the bumper dead center. Needless to say, the bumper split, and the sides pulled away from the body. Anyways, I've always loved the 70 1/2 Camaro's with the small nerf bumpers. So I just cut the center out and reworked the metal to hold the bumper gaurds. The corners were in good shape so I figured I might as well keep 'em. Every once in a while, someone notices them and compliments them. Thank you. I like them. Dave.
  14. Tape is off and paint is dry. Every bolt and flange got Anti-Seize so I don't have to go thru what I went thru earlier this week. The old rotors did'nt want to come off at all.

  16. I'll use the same Hi temp Ceramic paint as I did on the Calipers.
  17. Raybestos calipers and pads on new rotors
  18. Rotors showed up today, Calipers the other day, so I just need to Pack the bearings and go from there
  19. Might I suggest some round tops instead?? Sorry, could'nt help it.
  20. I found this site, and they charge $0.65 each for 500 and a $75 set-up fee for a total of $400 http://www.gppinc.com/details/1023_4.html I figure if Mike was to Take pre-orders at $5 each, He'd only have to sell 100 of them to make up for the total cost, and that would leave 400 at $5 to make a profit of $2000 for the sites maintanence and hardware costs. The Profit could also be used to buy T-shirts, hats, stickers, Vinals, etc, etc..... Hell, I'll take 4 off the top for the 2 Z's in MY driveway. Thinking about everybody here, Dave. Here's a few I did a long time ago and a blank for whoever wants to dotheir own.
  21. 84' non-vented rotor calipers. All painted and ready to go. I used Dupli-Color Red Caliper paint. The look sweet, don't they?

  23. Scaped the old and sprayed the new today. SOOO much more to do.
  24. Pull the steering column cover Check the green/white and green/blue wires on the switch, for power. Your wires are either burnt or the contacts are burnt. Use a volt meter to see if you're getting power from the fusebox. If you do, check the switch to see if that power is getting to the other wire. If it's not, the switch needs to be rebuilt. Dave.
  25. Last I heard, This guy makes a damn good set for the early 240Z's as well as the other year S30's. jasmaster1@yahoo.com He is also Jasmaster on Ebay. He sell the full page of faces and asks you which guages you have so you get the correct set, unlike MSA. Dave
