16x12 Panasport/IMSA
I will run 12 all around. The YZ rears are smoother and better finish than the fronts? Don't know why. I will put in a skeleton rear suspension and shoot my 12 inch wheels so you can see what clearance there is. Godzilla at Zdriver.com had a rear set for sell.

16x12 Panasport/IMSA
I did some photo"chop" on what my car might look like with the 2 body kits and wheels I have at http://dev.zdriver.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=5265&password=&sort=1&size=medium&cat=500&page=

16x12 Panasport/IMSA
This will be primarily autocross. I used to run FP and will run AP untill they change the rules. (12 inch wheels are in the works for FP. ) These C8 Panasports are very light. My bathroom scale says 17lbs. I know Bill Coffey in Florida is having success running 11.5x16x23.5 slicks on 12 inch wheels. If I run open track events I will scale back to 7 inch wheels. The body work will all be removable with dzus fasteners.

Pic00002
I stuck your 2 pics together without a g-nose and added my wheels at, http://dev.zdriver.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=5265 I have the IMSA fiberglass and your incredible car is swinging me back to using it instead of my other bodykit.

16x12 Panasport/IMSA
16x12 Panasports w/5 inch backspacing (coilovers), tuck nicely under my red IMSA flares. Too wide for the white IMSA fenders but fit perfectly under the YZ fenders from ZTRIX.

Widebody 240Z
This will be a beautiful monster! I was in Germany 3 weeks ago and got to meet Mr and Mrs. Ruf and tour their facility. (We were doing an interview for a T.V. show). They had their latest blue 911 on display a GT2 and various older 911s. Some fun. On your car, I love the red, what is it called?

nooB to Nissan, need info on V8 swap
Find someone near you on Hybrid Z and have them give you a ride. At Sacramento raceway I watched one stock looking V-8 Z turn low 12's. He is now down to 11.1 in the 1/4 mile with his $5000 383 chevy motor. I have more money than that in my naturally aspirated L-28 and around only half the horsepower and torque. There are many more costs involved in a swap than just the engine. Better brakes, suspension and the thorough rebuild of a 30 year old car that you bought for "cheap". I probably would go V-8 if I was starting again but I have enough power in my L 28 to scare me so I am happy....for now. You might start with all the rebuild, suspension and brakes before you start adding power. There is lots of great info here on this site and over on Hybrid Z also.

Walter Mitty Historic Races
Great pictures. Here is a GTP shot I took when the cars weren't "Historic " yet. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=3413&password=&sort=7&thecat=500 I went to the Balanced Performance website from one of your photos and linked to the Georgia Z club. Does anyone have more photos or info on this IMSA Z?

Found my new baby
Holy burnt orange Batman. What a find! Drive carefully here in the central valley. I gave up in Sacramento as cars turned into SUV land yachts.

ford pattern and datsun the same?
I had some slot mags from a four bolt Mustang on one of my Z's. 240 Z's are lug-centric, not hub-centric. Be sure and measure backspacing and/or offset to make sure wheels will fit.

My first Series 1
I just bought my first Series I 240. Build date of 10/70 but registered as a '71. A diamond in the rough for $500 but all there, straight and with rust only in the floorboards. I promise not to flare or cut this one up. :cross-eye

15x8
They are racing wheels from the 80's. I can't remember the name but they are no longer made. The national SCCA FP autocross champion Andy Craig had them on his car as did many Corvettes. They have seen much use and are about to be retired when my Panasports arrive.

Nissan GTP
As a P.R. stunt Toyota under Dan Gurney would let members of the local press be part of the pit crew of their GTP cars. After blowing a motor in practice Sat. a new one was to be trucked in. At 2 A.M. I get the phone call that it had arrived. As the television photographer on this story I had to return to the pits (I lived only 20 minutes away) and shoot the crew swapping motors. A now favorite memory for this gear head. The next day the P.R. woman offered me a Toyota hat to replace the "Nissan" hat I had been wearing all weekend.

Nissan GTP
I am old enough to have watched them the first go round. Here is a pitstop I photographed at Sears Point Raceway in Sonoma Ca. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=3413&password=&sort=7&thecat=500

We Are Australian!
When I went to Fiji I found no one considered us ugly Americans. Compared to the Australians there, we were quite tame. My favorite memories of Australia are still the beaches and topless women. You have the best "hemispheres" in the southern hemisphere. Wish I was there.

16" or 17" better for autocross???
National champion Vic Sias in BSP used 16x10 wheels. The current fastest FP Datsun Z uses 16x10 wheels. I don't have the knowledge or money to do R&D so I just see who is going fast and copy them. Doesn't mean its the ultimate way but they sure are going fast.:classic:
