my car was originally was from Az. then spent most of it's life in Texas... the guy I bought it from brought it up from Texas 6 years ago and he took pretty good care of it... I found it in the Rockford IL . area.. a bit north of there about 4 miles from your border... it needs some work waiting till spring to start on some minor rust removing .. if I see one around the area that looks good I'll let you know.. good luck in your search

ebay's one way we use that now and then too... when the wifes not looking I overwork the trash man with a few extra cans full... she's a PACKRAT.... bikes on the ceiling works good .. but plan on smacking your head on them now and then... :tapemouth

I didn't have to look to hard to find the original color .. darn it's not a black pearl .. no big deal I found some some light blue metallic paint under a door moulding.... and yes.. it will be a enjoyable project .. have started on the surface rust under/around the battery hold and will go from there... thanks for the trans info...

Picked up my car early last night... drove it from the Rockford IL. area to my place about 95 miles ... drove really well... needs some work .. some minor surface rust in a few places but nothing tooooo deadly and a few interior items need to be replaced.. I'll get some pics up beside the ones from the guy that had it listed online... ?? if anyone knows... were 5spds a option in 78 or standard equipment ?
