  1. without a motor you also have to consider how to get it to your garage , towing and getting temporary tires on it and the money spent doing that, i think I would start at the 100-150 range , i think you can buy alot more car for a few hundred more and might be a better investment , at 700 to a grand you get alot more car to start with , and EXPECT to spend alot more than you plan , anything 30 years plus has issues even worse when its in the shape you describe, good luck
  2. sorry to hear about your dog , do you have motion sensor lighting at the shed?
  3. ahh didn't realize I was a copycat , just saw it as one of the thoughts someone had listed , probably won't see mine too much

  7. all right you guys made me go get one for my 240z , alot of pressure there , got HLS30 , figured those who truly knew would understand
  8. there were plenty of great cars from the 80's and 90's but they weren't american made, honda crx , mazda rx-7 , 300zx tt , supra turbo , but it seems it was also the last bit of most of these cars production run, japan also tends to mess up a good thing but generally it takes longer, 50k for a sports car is a bit much , but just my 2 copper pieces
  9. My thoughts and prayers are with you Delta and your family, I am very shocked and saddened of the news , I will miss his insight, help and kindness , he will be truly missed Take care , Jeff
  10. simple market sales they weren't selling enough, i have no beef with olds but gm as well as ford needs to take the imports as a whole as more of a threat if they expect to compete in todays car market and i mean truck as well, never owned a gm product mostly toyota nissan and honda with german in between but i find very little need to shop an american built < as they say > product , lack of style quality and desire to excite the consumer will be the noose that tightens the neck of gm, it seems they are 5-7 years behind most in style and form , but just my 2 cents
  11. i also believe so

I have purchased very nice snap on and matco as well as sears pro line , but either way if you lose or misplace or lend it out to friend or family its still not there , I started getting some of my tools at harbor frieght , I wish they sold just 10 , 12 and 14 mm sockets and a 5 pack of philips , I think a good set of tool is a wise investment but an expensive set < with the exception of specialty tools > are just more money just my 2 pennies ,

  19. First z was a 72 bought in 87 for 2600 sold for 3900 , put in probably easily 6-7 grand in it , yes not a good investment , had a 71 in 94 bought for 550 and sold for 1200 decided it wasn't for me , too much body work but made some $ on it , last one and present <oct 2003 > i saw in the paper for 900 went and saw it offered him 450 and waited and sure enough he called , its in pretty good condition but i stripped everything that might be bad and replaced or rebuilt it, have most of a 54 and e31 waiting to go into it , easily have 1-2 g in it and untold amount of time , my brother picked up his 260 in a upstairs garage in a downtown building for 500 with no tranny but a truck load of parts , now runs like a raped ape as he so eloquiently puts it , but alot of time and good family time working on it family bonding to hell with monopoly buy a z and get the family together to cuss and swear at 30 year old bolts that don't budge

well dare i say i might be wrong , i thought the riken was made by western not enkei http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2475888027&category=43954
  24. seerex replied to wishihada240z's post in a topic in Wheels & Brakes
the 750 is very reasonable for rikens in 16 inch , without tires , they were not made by enkei but close to the western wheel mesh design , the enkei 32 series which had a flat iside around the lugs was similar , there are a few styles from the mid 80's to late 90s like that but hard to find , to give you an example the ssr reverse mesh wheel in 16 or 17 which is similar is 585-665 roughly per wheel , another maker was epsilion , very similar in style and made in the 4 on 4.5 in a 16 rim:disappoin
  25. would never put hyundai with the likes of honda toyota or nissan , i am sure they are getting better , but in my opion no matter how much you polish a turd its still a turd , i have seen other articles which aren't the same but i am sure they all use diffrent formulas , gotta say if the tiburon was made by someone else i might buy one ,
