my from bumper of my 72 wasn't bolted on the side and I wanted to take off the bumper guard so I removed it to find one of the bolts for the side had been broken off in it, I drilled it out and used a reverse tread removal bit and snaped the bit in it , I tried another bit to try to retry the process , I assume the bit is some super metal because it let anything drill into it , what do you think a machine shop a bumper shop or a welder?
  2. I know what I want for X-mas now , gonna have to leave a whole bunch of cookies and make some whisky spiked eggnog for this one very nice car http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2448140715

my old z had suspension techniques springs I guess what you guys call ST , and I loved the way it was , and had tokico blues on it, my crx now has neuspeed sports and tokico and I think it rides very comfortably, but I am sure we all diffrent ideals what rough and smooth are too , does the sway bar change the ride charateristics of the car in reguard to riding rougher?

ok if I was guessing I would have to go with air horns , actually can't make out what it was bit there was alot of it , it connected to my ignition a relay , not sure if I have more electrical issues but I doubt it and 4 toggle switches and two relays inside the engine compartment , from another post , not real big on electrical, this is my first z with anytype of electrical probs , here the pics of the carnage and after pics , thanks All Jeff
  12. missed the one I seek now , a right hand drive Z 240 could have had one 6 months ago but passed on it because it was an auction and couldn't see before i bid but I will fine one eventually
  13. it looks like a handle for a toy car
  14. I think it more fitting on a 4 door neon or civic that has cut the springs and has the glow neon on the wipers and wheels caps, and let not forget the stickers that improve your hp. I assotiate those wings with cars that are slow, and cars that have all of a look but no go, I would never do that to a z but its like everything its taste, I prfer the sleeper aspect of street cars , very clean nice cars that all you see is the rear of good luck
  15. well what I think I could own and could afford are two completely diffrent lists I have my 72 240z and my 91 honda crx si both I love dearly and have owned many supras and mistubishi starions and assorted others <22 in total> Wish List New GT-40 Acura NSX M3 last 2 generations 70-72 Cuda Mini S 350z<january hopefully> M5 a/c Cobra 996 C2 62 Patrol I am sure there are more maybe a tr512:love:

hey is 280 hp and running a 14.1 right , I mean no offense to the owner but I would think it would push it through the 1/4 faster than that , I realize that 14.1 is not slow by anymeans but still 280 is a bunch of ponies, Jeff
  17. well I had the exact thing happen 2 weeks ago with my 240z , ended up being the fuel pump , check to see if its getting fuel to the carbs , you can take a long piece of fuel hose and run the out side of the fuel pump to a coffee can and see if it fills up , to make sure you are getting fuel first , good luck:geek:

no I wasn't , actually the first time I had driven the car , just not got it tuned enough to get on the road , hhm I bet you are right , how interesting , how do I get rid of it
  21. it is a valve , have you check to see that the heater hoses are just bad and cracked maybe in an are you can't see, if the hose feels hard and lacks the rubbery feels they might just be bad , much cheaper than the valve and if i was under there doing that anyway I would replace the hoses just to make sure I wasn't under there replacing them after the valve as well, good luck
  22. crazy ideal here but you might get her to swing towards a older vw either a cabriolet or a jetta , not too bad on repairs or one of the slightly older sentras , not overly sexy but does the job and not a honda

Alan , I am sorry to hear of your bad luck but you gotta be somewhat thankful, atleast he didn't clip you and make you lose control and cause more damage to the Alfa or worse you could have gotten hurt, I am surprised that the police acted like that , in fla hit and run with more than $500 damage or with injuries is a felony , not to mention tried to ram you . But above all be thankful it wasn't your Z that was hit. Best of luck
