Infineon Raceway 5/30,5/31,6/01
From another forum Infineon Raceway is now offering free admission to this weekend's Wine County Classic and entry into the Datsun Corral for the first 15 Datsun owners that contact Marc Holmes at 707.933.3955. This is an awesome event and a great opportunity to represent Datsun. The corral is on smooth pavement and will be limited to classic Datsuns. Please feel free to contact your Roadster, 510 or Z buddies with this offer. We want to see as many Datsuns out there as possible. Thanks, Dan

Monterey Historics, August 17-19
The Monterey Historics at Laguna Seca Raceway are coming August 17th -19th and this year the Marque will be the Indy Roadsters. Throughout the 1930's, 40's and 50's the Indy Roadsters were the big difference from the rest of the auto racing world. The roadsters, some of them built in the drivers garages, could put a driver on the track for $10,000. They were the days that driving talent meant just as much as the speed and stamina of the car. Names like Jones, Foyt, Andretti, Vucovitch, Johncock came up the ranks of neighborhood racetracks for a try at the big time, and big money without ground effects, computers and much of the safety equipment that we all take for granted today. ZONC is again putting together the Z Car Corral for Z's, 510's and roadsters to be on Saturday, August 18th. 35 tickets need to be sold at a price for the day is $65.00 per person thru ZONC and has to be in ZONC's hands by June 27th otherwise the cost at the gate will be $85.00 per person. For pre-sale tickets send your check to ZONC P.O. Box 4403 Petaluma CA, 94955-4403 Again, ZONC must receive your check by 6/27/2007. In past years most of the ZONC people have stayed at the San Juan Inn in San Juan Bautista to conserve on motel costs with a minimal drive to the track. Their cost is $99.00 per night and they can be contacted at: San Juan Inn 410 The Alameda San Juan Bautista, CA 95045 831-623-4380 A local informal no host dinner will be planned for Saturday night in the historic town of San Juan Bautista.

On November 4th, ZONC wil be having a run through some of the old towns that sprang up during the gold rush days. Some of the buildings are still in use today. The run will be leaving Placerville at 10:30 with planned stops at El Dorado, Sutter Creek and the Historical part of Jackson, all of which are on Highway 49. An interesting note, one town the run will pass through will be Nashville, CA. The tour will end in Valley Springs with a NO HOST late lunch/early dinner at Good Friend Chinese restaurant. The cost for dinner will be in the $15 per person neighborhood and if you don't like Chinese food there is a Round Table and Burger King across the street. To get to the starting point take Highway 50 to Placerville to the Canal Street STOPLIGHT and turn South on Canal then a quick left on Main to Mels.
