  1. My 1970 240Z was free. My dad bought it in the early 80's. He had it repainted, new glass molding and the seats recovered. He drove it for a few years. It currently has 95,000 miles. Except for the paint and seat covers it's bone stock and rust free. He eventually got remarried (and divorced, again) during which time the Z was parked in the garage and forgotten. About 1-1/2 years ago he asked me if I'd be interested in taking the Z off his hands and of course I said YES!!!:classic:

 I saw another Sports Ka video like this awhile back. It involved a bird flying low enough for the hood to wack it; feathers flying all about. If you go to the web site they have some "interesting" stuff. It's a pretty cool car but not available in the US.
  6. How do you people find this crazy stuff?

What does it take to drop the tank? I checked a couple of manuals I have but they didn't give anything on the subject. Thanks, Steve

Howdy, My 240Z was in storage for about 6-7 years. I changed out the coolant and oil. I removed the carbs and cleaned them. I also drained the gas and put in about 8 gallons of 91 octane. I put gas into the float bowls and it started up and ran wonderful. I drove it for about three miles and then it died suddenly. It started up once more and died about 15 seconds later; this time for good. I pulled the hoses that go to the carbs and cranked the motor. Gas is getting to the carbs. What should I check next? Thanks, Steve

Someone's probably asked this before, but.... Someone posted an old 240Z Sports advertisment on this site. Is a "Sports" a special package, or is it a another name for a regular 240Z?

I live in New Mexico. Next year, when my Z is 35 years-old, I can get a "Horseless Carriage" plate. How cool is that!?

  20. I heard he was gonna bid on a 66 GTO ragtop.
  21. I watched about 1/2 hour of it. I've come to the conclusion that cars are a bad investment.... ie the $100,000+ Hennesy Viper that went for ~ $59,000. OUCH!:hurt:
  22. Yup, I got them off with a regular screwdriver. Cleaned them up real good, put them back on and now the car doesn't start. It tries to start and backfires. I haven't bothered with it since before Christmas but will get back to it in the next couple of weeks.

  25. Does anyone know a good rule of thumb for estimating the monthly payment on a car loan given pruchase price, loan length and interest? I can calculate this easy with a spreadsheet but I'd like to have something I can use on the fly while out shopping. Thanks.
