True. Seems everything that was once affordable to the average Joe is now only available to a select few. Everything is going up but my salary it seems. Now it might be less if this Social Security Reform goes through. Vicky

I read in the paper the other day that the 350Z was voted "Best Premium Sports Car". Beat out the 'vette............if anyone cares.............most here don't..............but some might................so that's why I posted Vicky

You either hate or love #112 Lime-Yellow. Most people I know hate the color. I like ANY yellow car, especially a sports car. Dodge is going to offer their Charger in some of those familar 70's colors, Plum Crazy, Sub-lime, Go ManGo and the Daytona Editon will be retro (as retro as you wanna call it by todays standards). Red, Yellow and Black are my favorite colors for sports cars. I guess I need a Ferrari then Vicky

  8. As far as the fiberglass cracking during vibration, wouldn't you find this more often if it's molded onto the body of the car. A friend has the same kit we have and he molded his to the body, went over a simple speed bump and the dam cracked and seperated from the car ever so slightly. Our fiberglass kit is not molded onto the Z. It is mounted with stainless screws from behind with a light thin strip of cushiony rubber thats undetectable on the car. The rubber absorbs the vibration and jolts of rough roads. So far so good. Another advantage of not blending the kit to the car is if you do scrape a curb the dam is easily unscrewed for a quick repair, then screwed back on. Vicky

I use unleaded pump gas (93 octane) in my bone stock 72 240Z. Seems to run fine. Vicky

True. We installed the "Cool Blues" on the 77 and now we have no high beams. Doesn't make much difference as we never use high beams here in the big city. The car has driving lights mounted in the aero kit to offset the loss of high beams so no big deal really. Noticed a big difference in the Cool Blues as opposed to the previous H4's that we had purchased. I like the look on an old Z. FWIW Vicky

I thought one of the main goals in any type of road racing is to keep all four tires on the pavement . Just kidding ya there. Great shot and I like the color combo. Nice and bright so all the other drivers can see you IN FRONT of them. Vicky

Looked like the guy had some kind of funky coil mounted there. But I also see the usual coil in it's correct place. I do like the wheels. Vicky
  17. Hey Charlieo, just below ya here in Pasco County. In yesterday's St Pete Times, there was a 260Z for sale. Could be the same car, maybe, maybe not. Vicky

Isn't #6 the obvious answer? :stupid: Another question to pose here is who uses their Z as a primary vehicle. Vicky

The quality of the picture is fine, it's the people in it. I do believe they are in need of a "restoration" themselves . Chris has some great shots of that car on the suncoast z car clubs website or he might even have some of his own. If not, then when we get back from MSA I'll e-mail you a picture of the car. Vicky

From what I've read and seen the car is mainly housed there. It was mentioned that that car does travel around, at least it did at the begining of the the program. Probably for promotional and display purposes. Vicky

Good God Carl, that picture you took of Scott and I back in 2000 makes us look like a couple of redneck farmers . You must get a better picture of JUST THE CAR, please . Can you go to our club website suncoastzcarclub.homestead.com and get a better picture? Chris (26th) took lots of pictures of the Z at the Tampa Convention Center. Vicky

Decided to take the 77 to a muscle car show one day. Figured what the heck, plus I love muscle cars. There were over 150 pure Detroit beasts from stock to full blown 502's and beyond. We were the only foreign car there as usual. Never expected a trophy, maybe a top 50 or something, didn't really matter. After they called all the top trophies, nothing, blanked, oh well. Started walking back to the Z to load up the chairs and stuff and they called my husbands name for BEST ENGINE.........at a muscle car show!! It was pure joy. Vicky
