Faithfull brotherhood of all that is Z, guid me in my moment of temptation!
- One for the purists!
The guy forgot to airbrush out the mung, cracks, paint chips or whatever on the 14th picture. Look just below the tail pipe on that shot, then check out the other shots of that same area on the car How obvious Vicky- 350Z-Style Stubby Antenna on Early Z?
Scott shaved the antenna on the 280Z. He purchased one of those hot rod antennas that's installed in the glove box. Vicky- MSA Show
We trailer the red Z out there. Scott won Best of Show at MSA in 2003 so we can only display the car. I love the drive to California. It's nice to see some mountains and different landscapes. Takes about four days to get to LA from here. Scott has a friend that drives his Z from Connecticut (sp?) to the show. Kevin wins the long distance award every year. Are you going? Dude, your face would blow off. Plus aeroplanes haven't come with targa tops in years. Vicky- Trick New Carbon-Composite Seat
Sorry the Corvette Flags ruined it for me. Does it have a B&M flush handle? Vicky- Beautiful Show Car!!! Modified - But Beautiful!!
No bumpers, street legal? One hit on that car would require major body work, at least if you wanted if corrected properly. I agree, it's the wheels that are killer. See alot of those on hot rods. Vicky- MSA Show
Hi Tom We'll be there. We'll be wearing our CZC hats. I'll be looking at all the vendor stuff and hanging by the stage hoping to win some door prizes. Bought $25 worth of tickets in 2003 and didn't win a darn thing. Scott will be by his car. Hope the weather is warm, like 80's. I was hoping we all could cruise after the show or something. Vicky- Another Problem Solved..........
Now the guy just has to get something to put on the door handle Vicky- Beautiful Show Car!!! Modified - But Beautiful!!
Wow! Must keep husband away from this post. For a car that seems so pristine the undercarriage is in need of a refresh. It almost looks like a Z that's been on "Overhaulin" except for the dinged and scratched underside. Very tempting indeed :nervous: Vicky- gotta sell my 69 fairlady
Hey that fender looks familiar. Leave it like that and the guys will start throwing dollar bills at 27th. Excellent way to finance your restoration project. When does her "Ztriped (or even Ztripped) National Tour" start Vicky- How Fast Is Fast To You?
This thread belongs on zcar.com :tapemouth Vicky- HLS30 My '73 outside
- 280Z
Question, were the hood vents painted the same color as the car from the factory? Both my 280Z's had black vents. One Z was gold (yuck) and one was blue. I've always loved those hubcaps.- gotta sell my 69 fairlady
A car is normally titled according to the original MSO. Vicky- Good Helmet to Get
I'd like to see the look on the cops face when he pulls you over for speeding and your wearing a helmet. Priceless . Would that offset you not wearing a seatbelt? Vicky- 240z vs 280z
Both! A stock 240Z and a modified 280Z. And in the perfect world, a genuine Scarab (the original 350Z). Vicky- Best paint color?
I think an early Z would look sharp with the 350Z's Brickyard color. I do believe Nissan only offered that paint for one year. One way to get an idea is to photoshop your Z with the different colors you're thinking of. Vicky- What does this thing do?
I got my idea from looking at MSA's website zcarparts.com. Look up radiator, then click on the chrome radiator overflow tank. It looks quite simular. The two little outlets on the bottom of the tank threw me off however. The one that we have on the 77 even has the clear tube attached along the side of the cannister so you can see the level of fluid in the tank. But ours was purchased at a speed shop a couple of years ago. Vicky- 240Z with 502 big block
Yes, as in the Scarab Vicky- What does this thing do?
It looks like a chrome radiator overflow tank. Vicky- gotta sell my 69 fairlady
I showed Ol Yeller a pic of the fairlady and it was love at first sight. I think she's lonely. Would make a nice addition to my collection. Hey Chris, what do you think???? I'd love to take her home and give Ol '69 some TLC. Will see what happens: need to tak to the boss about this one! Scott : :devious:- gotta sell my 69 fairlady
I thought the 77 280Z was the first year offered (here in the US) with the 5 speed. Vicky- types/Classes of racing
I think those scavenger hunts fall under "Gimmick Rallies", like Poker Runs and such. Vicky- gotta sell my 69 fairlady
5 speed? Vicky - One for the purists!
