Hi Chris Kudos on all your hard work and research on this unique project by Nissan. Ol' Yeller is a Pierre restoration. I must say that if the bodyman that did ZRush had all the resources that Pierre did, he could have produced the same (if not better) quality job. Pierre and the rest of the shops had time limits thus restricting much attention to "fine" details. I honestly think my husbands 77 is a better restored car and I'm not talking about mods. Then again they are two completely different cars but I've seen what went into the 77. Four years of blood, sweat, many tears and lots of money on a Z that was restored just five years prior by the previous owner. FWIW Vicky
  2. Have one of each! One that's bone stock and one that's modified. That way your covered by the "purists" and the "stock sucks" crowd Vicky
  3. Just checked, MSA is April 22nd through the 24th so I guess we'll be passing through San Antonio the weekend before. Darn, that would have been perfect because the I-10 goes right through San Antonio and we'd be staying in Texas somewhere on our way out to California. Oh well. The ZCCA convention is in Texas for '06 so we'll be there then. Hope to see you then kmack :classic: Vicky

Where the hell do these people come from  I'd love to send some kind of exploding virus back to this jokers computer so when he logs on the screen bursts and he has shards of glass in his freakin' face. :tapemouth Vicky
  5. Yeah, but it's a beautiful song and it never goes out of style Vicky

Good luck on the job Bill. Are you going to give us Z folk discounts on parts and shipping Vicky
  7. That's the weekend before MSA right? We'll be passing through Texas then. It would be cool to stop on the way out to California. Vicky
  8. That would be AAA Vicky
  9. 80's "hair band" tunes. When we go any faster than 45 mph, nothing because you can't hear the radio over the engine/exhaust. Should have put more sound proofing in the car Vicky

  12. No, no, no Carl. Scott needs assistance with installing the MSD 6AL in his 77 280Z. No mods to Ol' Yeller. Can anybody reply with help installing MY Christmas gift on HIS car. Vicky
  13. OK here's my question to anyone who has ever installed a MSD 6AL ignition system on a L28 with a Mallory Unilite Distributor: Do I just follow the wiring diagram in the instuctions, if so will I encounter any problems or need additional parts in order to make it run correctly? The Mallory distributor is a 37 Series Breakerless / Part # 4563901. Need input!!! Vicky needs MORE HORSEPOWER! Thankz Scott

It was a sunny 75+ degrees yesterday here in Florida. Now we're going to get back handed by your northern cold front which will give us only rain. The snow is beautiful..........as long as it's on your lawn and not mine Does anybody even put "snow tires" on the vehicles up there anymore? Vicky

Chris, "Super-Glue" is a staple in our bag of tricks that we take along to all Z events. You never know when a part will fall off Vicky

Chris there is a superb place in Clearwater called Alert Bumper. Scott had the 72 rear bumper re-chromed there and the work is flawless. We told them this is a concours vehicle and that's what we got, absolutley beautiful. Turn around time was about a week, price was around $250.00 (back in 2001). They come highly recomended by some very respected collectors we know. Plus it's close by. No shipping for you. Just a thought. Vicky
  18. Makes as in other Nissan makes? That would be OK IMO. Motorsport of California also (or at least used to) sells Miata parts too. MSA is very reputable. Do they have any kind of disclaimer about a return policy. That way if you don't like your purchase it can be sent back. "Nismo" is Nissans performance end so I would tend to think that the company would be legit. I don't think Nissan would allow the use of "Nismo" on anything that they weren't involved in. But I guess you never know. Vicky

Whoa, whoa, whoa there Alan. I did not in any way mistake your comment. I WAS wrong in calling the car a "350Z". My error. The icon of the club over the head is for me. Thank you for setting me straight :classic: Did I say you were trying to score points off of someone????? Now that confuses me Vicky
