MidwestZ??
I saw on the news last nite that there was a major fire in Wichita this week. A few businesses were a total loss. I realize that much of the mystery started way before the fire, however. My guess is that she's gone/going out of business. I know you can search the state of Florida to find out if a company is still active. I wonder if that's possible in her state. Vicky

What would a good price be....
I would think a "perfect" example would fetch much more than $8,000. A Black Pearl in any other condition is comperable to any Z in simular conditon no? That was wordy, but you know what I mean. I'm still searching for the rumored Black Pearl in St. Petersburg with 16 miles on it. This story has been circulating around the car shows for a while. Car stories are like fish stories around here Vicky

Key codes
Remember Zedrally, the 72 is a Factory Restored Z, so maybe Nissan was getting lazy with the keys. My husband had the 77 ignition, doors and hatch all keyed for the same key. Vicky

Key codes
Same key for the door, hatch and ignition on my 72 & 77. Vicky

Key codes
My '72 240Z key code starts with a M and then a 4 digit number. It's on a sticker on the inside of the glovebox door. Vicky

MidwestZ??
Is it possible that the company may be in receivership/filing bankruptcy and that might be why no ones heard anything? If this were true I don't think legally Chloe could contact anyone until everything is ironed out. Vicky

If the 240Z were a Woman...

This Z was stored in a chicken coop since 1987
Since the guy is "reconstructing" the car, maybe Ben can get those wheels. I know he's been dying for a complete set of them. Ben are you watching this thread? Ben.... Vicky

Sorry Stephen, I didn't mean to come across that way. I was just agreeing with what 2ManyZs said about jumping boards via a "dare". Good luck with your project ls1240z. What type of wheels are those on that blue Z? Those look great! Vicky

If the 240Z were a Woman...
Italian of course! Hot tempered, lots of self pride and quite unafraid of others, always ready for a challenge. Highly respected and feared by many. Vicky

He'll have a hard time inciting a flame war here as we can only suggest what he should do with the car. If he chooses to butcher the car by making it a very common V8 conversion, no skin off our teeth. We've seen it done before and other fools will do it again. JMO Vicky

If the 240Z were a Woman...
If the 240Z was a woman, then I guess I'd be gay! Vicky

Where Would You Go in your Z?
I'd love to cruise the PCH. I'm going to do that next year when we bring the Z back to MSA for display Maybe we could get a group of Z's cruising together along that beautiful stretch of highway. Vicky

27th z!!!
Chris, what are you going to do if that orange Z in the picture is #25 or #28 Just kidding ya there. Your hands are full with #27. Scott said he'd be willing to help you and Jim with anything on the car if needed Vicky

Flat Tappet Cams
I was reading an article about how NASCAR needs to update a few things in their cars. One article was how NASCAR continues to use carburetors but virtually no cars built today utilize carburetors. The other article was in reference to cams. It stated that they continue to use "Old Style Flat Tappet Cams" which are neither as efficient nor as durable as roller cams. Much of the cam failure that drivers experience would be eliminated with roller cams. Our Z's have roller cams, correct? Can someone explain to me what a "Tappet Cam" is. Vicky
