Motorsport Nationals Date Announced
I thought the dates in the mini-mag that was just sent out had 21st-23rd? I'll have to check when I get home. I'm sure I'm wrong but I could have sworn it said that in the back. Vicky

White Guage Face Opinions? Ricey?
My husbands red 77 has white face guages with red bulbs. It looks very cool. The needles are painted red also. The guages kind of glow red, it's not a drastic bright red light like some might think. I believe you can buy the red bulbs nowadays but at the time this car was being customized they were not available, at least in my area. We painted the original bulbs with red fingernail polish and it came out perfect. Just the red glow we were looking for. FWIW Vicky

check out these wheels
What a beautiful car. But the engine bay is just a mess. With my crappy computer not all the pictures loaded (red x), so maybe I missed a upgraded or at least cleaned engine. I can say that the engine compartment on all my z's are as clean as the exterior on the car. Vicky

Suggestions for license plate for my Z
How about EXQUZME. I think just 77 280Z is good too. Vicky

Back from paint
Two of the many greatest moments in owning a Z car. Getting it back from a fresh restore and driving it for the first time after that restore. Congrats!!! Vicky

Got to try this!!! It is so cool!
OK then, I'm awake now!! I was concentrating so hard too, sheesh Vicky

Have you seen the new MSA mag wheels?
Tom, read closer, deeper and clearer, I'm saying I like the 17's!! Those aren't rubberband size. It's the 18, 19, 20, "the dubs", etc that people (ricers) put on their rides. Even worse is the rubberbands on trucks and SUV's. I think your Z looks great with the rims and tires and plus it's RED!! Vicky

Have you seen the new MSA mag wheels?
Looks like the 17's are pictured in the MSA mini-magazine, no? I think they look pretty agressive but still maintain the retro Z-slot look but with a modern tone. That's all JMO too. My husband say 16's are as big as he would go. I've got hubcaps on my 240Z so anything would look better for me. I like the look of a slot. All the other rims are "flowery", to close to todays ricer theme IMO. I'd really like a set of 14 or 15 Cragar SS rims but that's not even an option for an old Z car . Oh well......... Vicky

Have you seen the new MSA mag wheels?
Those 7X17 slots are awesome! I think my ol' 240Z could would like a set for Christmas. They're just enough without having the rubberband tire look. For the Red 280Z, the chrome "Z" dipstick is a must have. Thought that was pretty neato too! Vicky

$20,000 240z on Ebay..and rising
No, no Will the table dance was the best part of Z Fest!! It's become tradition whenever Chris shows up to any Z event. There must be a table present. Chris, he doesn't except cash, only Z parts. I'm gonna toss a couple OEM fenders at him during the next table dance. (of course I will not damage the fenders nor the dancer ) It's all in good fun!! Vicky

$20,000 240z on Ebay..and rising
Hey Chris, I thought those were pictures of the party at Hooters Friday prior to the Saturday Z Fest this year??? Wonder how many of those guys thought "This is the guy that's going to be judging my Z car". You're way to funny Chris. You look kinda like Dana Carvey in that one shot. Vicky

$20,000 240z on Ebay..and rising
Screw the 20K for the Z car, I'd pay 20K to see Chris (26th-Z) do a table dance at Ruth Chris Steak House. Vicky

What are your favorite Quotes?
From movies............Just about anything Jackie Gleason said in Smokey and the Bandit. "Put that door in the back Junior, that there is evidence against the Bandit". Vicky

Towing a 240z
Can you tow from the rear and leave the front wheels free-spinning. Just have to tie off the steering wheel. That's the old fashioned way but it used to work. U-Haul and those type of places do rent open car haulers too. Just a thought. Vicky

ARRRGGGG My Z got hit!!
Noooo Dave, that beautiful blue Z. Also take pictures so they don't just think of it as some old car. Good luck. I hope it all works out. Makes me sick when I think of something like that. Vicky

Supercharged 280Z :) hmm what a sound
I know one guy that would be interested in a possible SCZ..............his name is Scott. When's the next time you're going to run the car Ken? We're just over here on the west coast of Fla. Taking it to Sebring anytime soon? Vicky

The best looking 240z period...
I'd like to see the other two Z's parked next to that car. Rubberbands for tires, no thanks and what's with the door? Is it not fully closed or is it seriously out of adjustment. Not a bad looking Z by far but not the best looking Z either IMO. Vicky

$500 for used taillights??
Item location is in "Nismo Heights". Where the heck is that? Play on words you think? Vicky

Open Door when the Z is on a Jack?
Ramps and lifts are different, all 4 wheels are still on a solid surface. For example when you've got the Z up on a Datsun jack to change a tire or something. Better explained maybe would be when only 3 wheels are on the ground, even just 2. Seems there would be a little stress on the body. Vicky

Open Door when the Z is on a Jack?
While perusing a few other Z sites, every once in a while I'll see a Z on a jack with a door or both doors open. I've always been under the impression that's not a good idea with a unibody car. Whether using the standard issue Datsun jack or even a regular floor jack. True, False Vicky

What are your favorite Quotes?
"I used to have one of those...............shoulda never sold it." Just about everyone we run into at car shows when talking about our Z cars. Vicky

This is why I speed!
Why not just leave the Chevy engine in the Chevy and wreck that car. Why waste a Z car trying to prove how fast you can go. Someone is always faster so whats the point. All I can think of is blown tire and bye, bye. People are killed everyday for that on controlled freeways at just 55 mph. Have fun, we'll be reading about you in the obits and trying to salvage what, if any, parts are left of your Z. Vicky

Sunroof
There was a company out of Anaheim California called "Z-Lid" by Chas. Anybody remember them? The Scarab has one and it's really quite neat. I wish I had a scanner, I'd upload all the literature on it. Here's the specs... Roof opening 24 in. x 37.5 in. Lid weight approx. 12 lbs. FWIW Vicky
