what about the new z's?
I too thought the "X" was for luXury. That version of the Zcar has all the creature comforts of New Yorks old Studio 54 Disco.

Barret Jackson Auction is ON!
Yes, I think you are correct on the '69 headlights. That is my favorite year Mustang. I always thought that made the car look mean. Thanks for the info 240ZX.:classic:

I've heard that American Hot Rod is good. But we see those types of cars all over Florida at the shows. That Southern Chopper show, was that guy from Tampa? One of the Hot Rod big shots down here is now into the "West Coast Chopper" type bikes. I guess that's the new scene. His shop, if I'm not mistaken is called Southside Choppers. Nice bikes but I think I'll stick to having 4 wheels on the pavement (sometimes):cheeky:

I guess you need all that power to push your car because of your un-aerodynamic wiper bladeLOL Just kidding, of course. Super sweet set-up, I like.:classic:

If I'm thinking correctly the 69-70 Mustangs look the same. In 1971 they changed the body. Then in 1974 they went to the Mustang II. What a sorry excuse for a Mustang, IMO.

Monster Garage
I liked the show that had the combination dragster/hotdog vendor. Funny as hell when they ran the car down the strip and the hotdog umbrella flew off. Also, when they stuck the hotdogs in the open headers and they flew out when he punched the gasROFL Too funny

Z Security
Here's the scenario: You go to your local store or where ever your going, look pissed, shut off the car, open the hood, pull the coil wire (put it in you pocket or something), shut the hood and storm into the store. This makes anyone watching you (as most car theifs do) think your wicked pissed off that your car just broke down and won't even attemp to take your "Out of Order" Z. (Sorry, no real value to the serious theft deterrent questions)

I thought that only happened in the MoviesLOL That would scare the s*** out of me (the first time).- Lead footed B's.
Witnesses to the tragic race say the Camaro driver was starting off from the green light. The Corvette driver cut off the witnesses to drag the Camaro. So the Corvette driver was the instigator, but the Camaro driver should have left it alone. The newspaper never mentioned anything about the what happened to the Corvette driver. I expect he saw the accident in his rear view mirror and high-tailed it out of there and was long gone. To me, he's just as responsible for the deaths as the Camaro driver. These types continue to do this until they kill themselves.- Take the Silicone test
Scored a 16. Nice to wake up and see this first thing in the a.m.. It's truley going to be a good day! Got to go, time to take zrush to a car show and a nice cruise:classic: :classic: :classic:- back with a vengeance!
That's a great deal. Why so cheap for what appears to be a very clean car?:classic: My brother has an 87, same color also. I'm fairly new to this site but have been around early generation Z cars for a long time. Welcome back......and again great deal you got there.- I am now Z less
Victor That's excellent!!! I'm glad the Z only has minor damage, by that I mean, not dented up or for that matter wrecked. I just typed you this morning saying your car will be returned to you. (Now I'm saying I will win the lottery tonite, ha, ha, I wish). No really, the power of all the positive hope by your friends on this site must have had something to do with the return of your yellow pride and joy. What a great ending to such a terrible event. GLAD IT'S BACK!! Scott- I am now Z less
Victor The guy who stole your beloved Z is now starting to surface. Criminals are to dumb to lay low. He will continue to try an attempt to cash your checks and he WILL be caught! I believe that your Z will be found and it will be returned to you. Keep the (Z) Faith. Your phone will ring with the good news my friend.- the end of my 76 280z
I agree with kyteler, It's a shame you want to part the car out. An early gen Z car that isn't a basket case as far as the body is concerned, is a rare find. It's too bad you don't live closer to Florida, I have a 78 280Z with a good motor, trans. and R200 rear. If you are interested in these parts , send me a message. The only thing that I would do to the motor is a quick re-build on it, just to re-fresh it. It's an EFI and the harness is OK but might want to change injector ends. Kinda a cheap repair. Real sorry to hear about your loss, but don't give up just yet there might be some others that could help out. Just hate like hell to see the car laid to rest.- Barret Jackson Auction is ON!
I believe that some cars are a good investment. I wouldn't pay $100,000+ for ANY Dodge Viper. For a classic Hemi powered Super Bee, Charger or Road Runner, yes. I think it would be fun to strut around there like I had all kinds of bucks and just dream of being able to bid on something there. Instead I crawl though mounds of junk cars at the bone yard to find my Z parts.- For the guy who has everyting...
Now who would really buy something like that on ebay...some far off government? That has to be the most ridiculous thing I've seen on e-bay. Sure could ship alot of Z-Cars on that. What's next, the Saturn 5 Rocket? Go figure- Lead footed B's.
This article is right out of our newspaper here today and I immediately thought of this thread. A 56 year old man in a 1995 Chevy Camaro Z28 was racing a Corvette on a city street. The speed limit was 45mph and they were topping speeds of 90mph. The Camaro driver lost control, crossed over the median and killed 3 kids in another car and also killed his wife riding in the Camaro with him. This is what HIS attorney said: "We know he was going faster than the speed limit. The problem was that the rear tires of his Camaro lost traction, sending him out of control and into an oncoming car, killing four people. Perhaps a finicky traction control system is to blame." Can you believe it!!! This is why some attorneys make me furious!!!!! :tapemouth - T and A Test
I got 5 out of 10. Kinda half-assed the testROFL- what about the new z's?
I must admit that I was excited to hear that Nissan was bringing back the Z. I expected a 340Z, not a 350Z. It took some getting used to. Comparing the 350Z to the 240Z is like comparing the young, slim Elvis to the fat, bloated, overweight Elvis. I can't even think of the 350Z as a "Z". Even the Z emblem is shaped different. No offence to any Elvis fans or 350Z fans, OK- RB26dett in the 350z
You lost me with 350Z. I agree with 240zx. Now lets move on to the next more mature subject. - my doors open while driving
