Hi Ahmed This car actually has dual exhaust and Scarab might have messaged the pan a bit to fit two pipes as close to the stock opening as possible.

Original Genuine Scarab #189
We'll be getting more pictures this weekend. The color is called Sebring Silver Mist. All cars are "ours". I'm the one who always wanted a Scarab so this car gets Scott out of buying anniversary presents for the next 10 years. At 375 hp she's quite the sleeper Z. More details and specs this weekend.

Early '77 raised rear deck
From what I've heard it was only on the very early '77 280Z's. Mid year they returned to the flat even deck from the bulkhead to just under the tail light panel. Scott's 77 had that (he changed the deck and lowered it) and the Scarab, yes the Scarab has it also. It looks like this __/ . Sort of like if someone was going to mount speakers there. I don't know, I was just curious as to why the limited run. Another Datsun mystery. Thanks for the replys Vicky

Early '77 raised rear deck
Does anyone know the reason Datsun raised the last 6 inches or so of the rear decks on the early 1977 280Z only? Do you suppose it was to keep things from sliding into the access panel for the tail lights? If so, why would they change design in mid year (77) back to the flat deck. My 1978 had the flat rear deck just like the 240Z. Vicky

Freaky Drift, drag, autocross 300zx on eBay
The guy that photographed that Z was also on the west coast of Florida to shoot Scott's car just last month. The Z's are suppose to be in an British Magazine called "Japanese Performance". I've tried to find the magazine here in my area at local bookstores but nobody carries it. Vicky

350/240
That's Fred Sangalangs car. You can hear it run on that MSA Sounds thread that a member loaded here. So Tom (240ZX) it's now in the "TADPOLE" stage, blunt and roundish in the front and slender towards the rear Fred is a great guy with some different ideas on modifications, leans to the extreme. He also owns that wicked 4 X 4 Z with the shiny V-8. Vicky

MR2 or 240z-I have to choose :(
- I'm back (with more questions too! 280z vs 280zx?)
Yes I know, I was just being a smart aZZ, hence the rolly laughing faces after my comment. My bad :cheeky: Vicky- has anyone restored their license plate?
Before or after you refurbish your plate, put a layer of clear coat on it. It will protect it from fading. The plate on the 240Z was starting to fade from the Florida sun so the body guy shot it with clear coat and it looks brand new. The 280Z plate was clear coated from day one and has not faded at all. FWIW Vicky- I'm back (with more questions too! 280z vs 280zx?)
30K for a Delorean?!?! I do believe you can pick one up for under 20K. Know a guy that shows one around here. Bought it off the original owner for 10K.......and it has no rust . Vicky- Alternate Fuel Filter
Tomohawk I didn't post that info on the fuel filter, Scott did. I know nothing about such going ons. I do believe it's the same one that's under the hood. The billet fuel filter sold by MSA. Look on the MSA website www.zcarparts.com Vicky- Another Z Factory Restoration on Ebay
Carl, My fac...Vintage Z did not come with a radio. However; I tracked one down on the internet and the radio was an original '72 radio with the stock speaker. It cost me a few pennies but it was worth getting the correct radio for that year.Still need to run the speaker wire to the speaker but tested it and it works. Just one more thing to do on my Honeydo List.- Alternate Fuel Filter
I installed 2 K&N fuel filters: one before the pump and one under the hood. Easy installation and they don't need replacement cores. Just pinch off the fuel lines, unscrew and wash out plates. They however are more costly than other types but definitely worth the extra $$$. Just my 2 cents. Scott- eBay beauty
Is that guy serious, that can't be for real but the headlight bucket covers do look nice Who needs a custom vanity plate when you can just spray paint your car. Vicky- Florida Z Fest AutoX is rescheduled for 6/11!!
I'm ready to move to Phoenix. Vicky- Florida Z Fest AutoX is rescheduled for 6/11!!
We'll be there Gus. Hooking up with the rest of the Tampa Z gang for the hour and a half caravan to Ocala. Gotta see the super charged 280Z zip around the course. It better not rain Vicky- Getting my z home? (shipping)

John, Finding a transport company can be a nightmare. I Google searched car transport and got a boatload of companies. I too inquired about shipping costs and these people were suppose to e-mail me back or return a call with a quote. Only a few responded so I made an inqiry to my insurance company and they set me up with a carrier that they use. All has gone really smooth. The company took care of all the paperwork and were very professional. My choices were limited to only a few transport companies due to where the car was being picked up i.e. Canada but there are many who transport within the US. Get as many quotes as possible and check credentials. Good luck and congrats on your possible purchase! :classic: Scott - I'm back (with more questions too! 280z vs 280zx?)
