10K for Brembos!!! This was going to be our next upgrade for the 77 280Z. I think you can do it for alot less then that, no? What about Wilwoods? Vicky

The seller states this car is titled as a 1962 Ferrari Coupe. How can that be. It's actually a kit car, but shouldn't it retain the Datsun name and year on the title? The vin remains as a Datsun. Please explain Vicky
  3. I remember when Scott was first starting out on the restoration of the 77 280Z. We had an old Tweeks magazine. He called them to inquire about an item for his Datsun. They said "We don't deal with Datsuns anymore, we only sell Porsche products". Scott quickly responed to them, "I guess you've stepped down a notch then, huh". They were not amused and quickly hung up the phone without even saying another word. Too funny Vicky

Very nice. One question. When I bought my 78 280Z back in 1984 it had those same rims on it. Do you know if they were actual Datsun mags or some after market brand? Vicky

  6. Now "Z" driving gloves, that would be cool:classic: It's the duster and pillow that just look cheesey, even with a Ferrari or Porsche logo. I like the watches, gloves and things like that with a logo. But a pillow, at least that one, it just looks cheap IMO. But somebody will buy it. Vicky
  7. :stupid: Good lord. Just because it has a "Z" logo on it this fool thinks a Z owner would buy that crap. Put it on a Chevy Z28 Camaro site, maybe those owners are little more loose with their money.:tapemouth Now I have to edit because the oil cap has been added to the previous post. That item is unique. Vicky

  9. Geez Bill, pretty soon these guys are gonna have your Z completed for you. At the rate their going, let them finish the car then you can steal it back from them when they're done. Can't you hire "Smith & Wesson" to protect your property? Vicky
  10. Lambo Cop Car comes with a defibrillator. I believe I would be needing that if I drove that beastLOL Vicky
  11. Those big crash bumpers looked like they saved the car from a bit more damage. Look at the pictures of the front hit on the 3rd page of this thread. Early bumpers...........that hood corner would have been toast. But that's why you have insurance :classic: Vicky
  12. I'm not sure and my husband is asleep on the couch now. But could there be an adjustment within the throttle body? Vicky
  13. An electric fan is thermostatically controlled and will click on when called for. The fan that's attached to the pulley should run all the time........if it doesn't you gotta problem. Vicky
  14. What's "WOT", With Out Throttle? Vicky

  16. The fan clutch keeps the fan from spinning to fast so it won't break up into a million pieces. Vicky
  17. Your right seerex, I was really speaking of American cars. I don't see to many Ferrari's and Lambos made in the 80's blowing white smoke unless it's comming from their tires Vicky
  18. My thoughts and prayers are also with you. ZmeFly was always very helpful and had something kind to say to all. He WILL be missed on this site. Even though we don't actually know someone, this forum and our love of Z Cars brings us all together as if we're in the same room, or should I say garage, discussing our beloved cars. Take Care everyone Vicky
  19. Well Stephen we know that nothing made in the 80's will even be around in 30 years. I believe the 80's to be the worst decade for automobile manufacturers. Maybe the Grand National (six banger too) or the, I can't remember the year, Monte Carlo SS (1985?). They were OKish. Seems every car that I see produced in the 80's (that's still on the road) blows white smoke.......I'm not kiddingLOL Vicky

So Z Police, do we give this guy a ticket or do we let him go with a warningLOL Vicky
  21. I think Pontiac is going to try and "cash in" on the legendary GTO name, like Dodge is doing with the "Hemi" that's mentioned in every one of their commercials. I'm waiting for the redesigned Mustang. Suppose to have a simular version of the early GT500 type front end........we'll see. Vicky

Did anyone see this car. The add was sent to me by a fellow Suncoast Z Car Club member http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/9/8/71394598.htm Looks nice Vicky
  23. The Dodge Magnum is kind of a hybrid between the SUV and a "Station Wagon", I agree. Looks OK, but I bet there aint no 440 Magnum engine under the hood Seems auto manufacturers are trying to bring back some type of "muscle car". Maybe they can get a simular powerplant but they gotta work on the body styles IMO Vicky
  24. The SUV vehicles have been the down fall of the sedan type vehicle along with many other type autos (1996 Z) IMO. To me Oldsmobiles have always been stodgy, other then their late 60's & early 70's 442's and such. Even in the mid 70's olds where thought of as your "grandparents" car. The stepchildren of GM is Buick and Olds. Buick will probably be next. No great loss either. Todays trend in automobiles seems to be BIG Trucks and BIG SUVs. Has anyone seen the Chevy Kodiak Truck yet, it's massive. Almost twice the size of my Silverado Crew Cab dually with the 454 and that's big. Gas prices, what gas pricesLOL Vicky
