Looking at the most recent upload of that Z with the T-Tops, I was wondering how it affects the structural integrity of the early Z. I know the ZX's had them everyday, but to me that's a whole different car. What are some opinions on the T-Tops. Our cars weren't designed for T-Tops so I'm thinking this is not a good idea. But then again our cars weren't designed for V-8's but that's been done. What are some of your thoughts. Vicky

$15,999? That seems a little pricey but maybe I'm out of touch on the zx's. Any Pictures? Vicky

2ManyZs That's why I thought there was more to the demise then just the cocaine fiasco. From your last reply it seems that the car was almost a "flop". I always thought they looked kind of cheap. But Delorean did produce an auto that was a little ahead of it's time compared to many of the cars made in the 80's. The K-car seems to come to mind and all the other cheapos that were pumped out in that decade. Can you image if someone tried to polish that stainless steel body to look like chrome. That would be sort of be wild. Vicky
  4. [Yes, that was it with the old motor, use to run a 9.90 on open diff. and 250 shot. Thanks for the comments? Steven M. Lazy-Z What is an open diff? Is that one drive wheel or LSD? What does the car run now with the different motor? I would love to have V-8 Z, but my husband gets PO'd at the very mention of "Why didn't you put a V-8 in your Z". He likes to prove that the Z's inline six, when built properly, is quite capable of producing horsepower. Vicky P.S. The car you are selling looks very nice.

When we were kids, my dad used to tell us that it stood for "Gas, Tires and Oil". Vicky

I know, I know...it was easy. But I do believe there was more to the downfall of that car then just the cocaine bust. That is why I asked. Wasn't ther some kind of defect in the car? Vicky
  7. Tim280zx, those are some nice rims on your Z. What is the brand? Vicky

Yes, sorry. He worked for GM back then and Pontiac is a division of GM, so yes, "Pontiac GTO". Come on Tomohawk you know all these answers Vicky

Who is the man behind the design of the GTO for GM back in the 60's and later went on to create a "futuristic" car bearing his name? Bonus points...Does anyone know what the demise of this vehicle was (other than the obvious)? Vicky

Many moons ago when I was a teller in a bank, we had a well established customer try and deposit a large dollar cashiers check. Upon further review of the check the bank had determined that it was bogus. The poor man had sold his Ferrari and by the time he realized the check was no good the car was long gone. I have found a company that can get lost/no titles on vehicles that are 1987 & older. They are called Classic's and their ad says "No Previous Paperwork Required" "No Title? - No Problem!!!" *Low Rates and Fast Service* Call for more info 888-870-8071 I hope this might help anyone who is concerned about that title issue. Ding, Ding, Ding! You are correct on the gas tank explosion. I do believe the year is 1971. However, I heard on TV someone mentioned a 1969 Pinto. That's why I asked the question. I too thought the Pinto came out in '70 or '71. hsl30.com your prize IS a Pinto even worse, a Pinto wagon, hehehe, tee hee. Vicky

Here's one..... What year did Ford introduce the Pinto? What structural defect caused Ford to quit making the Pinto? Vicky

Good God!! That car looks like some kinda space ship. What's that silver thing in front where the radiator would draw air. Looks like a silver sun-shield that I put in my truck to save the dash. Talk about over-kill. Looks like a Z mated with a Porsche that had a Camaro drag car gene pool. Vicky

That truly is a heart-breaker. I wonder what the vin # is. I have to agree with you 2ManyZs. Probably not worth the money it would cost to restore it. We all know that to make a restoration job more pleasurable, you should really start out with a half way decent car. Looking at a Z that's just wasting away like that really hurts Vicky

I'm not sure of the correct names but I believe "Ricky don't lose that number" and "Josie" are two great Steely Dan tunes that come to mind. I have the Greatest Hits CD, but I can't find it right now. I'll try and look for it. Vicky
