  1. Is is correct to say that alot of that floorboad rust is from the car "sweating". I know in my 78 280z I could never keep the floor mats in because the floorboard area seemed to always be damp after running the car for a while. I also had a Mustang that did the same thing. Vicky

Hey GunnerRob, that's way cool that you still have that 8-track AM/FM radio from your Z. Is it a Hitachi? I think that's what Datsun put in the cars...........let me check my 72 240Z....hold on. Yep, it's a Hitachi (at least mine is) I think the original radios are one of the hardest things to find because that's normally the first thing people change when they get the car. Vicky

How about anything off of Bostons first album. That's pure drivin' tunes. Frampton is also great. Speaking of 8-tracks, my first one was the Pioneer Supertuner with the big round dial, remember those. Who also remebers the FM Converter? Vicky
  4. Nice, very beefy looking. I like! Vicky

To match the theme (Red obviously) of my husbands car. We have the white face gauges. He pulled the bulbs out and I painted them with red fingernail polish (womans touch). At nite it looks awsome. All the quages seem to "glow" red. Of course this was done before they came up with the colored bulbs. Vicky

Chris, Would that include all Z's up to 78? Vicky
  8. What kind of rims are on that Z? Brand name and size if you can provide the info. Vicky

datto_240z I think that's a cool avatar. I just wish we could see the end results. The Z does win, right? (Pukey color on that Camaro) Vicky

Is there a seam weld just above the quarter glass on our Z cars? Vicky

Speaking of "Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry", wasn't that the movie that had the old, yellowish Ford truck that jumps over a burm. I remember that Ford starting using that in their truck commercials back in the late 70's or early 80's. Blues Brother does have a great car chase, plus all those cop cars that were destroyed. The falling Pinto with the "Illinois Nazis". Too funny.

Hey 240Z4me The rims are 14" Weld Draglites with BF Goodrich Performance tires. I believe they are P205/60R14 in the front and P225/60R14 in the back. I would have to double check with my husband (his car). Yes the car is lowered 2 inches. Thanks for the nice words about the car and good luck with your Z. Vicky

Was the show "Miami Vice". Did they just take all the Ferrari emblems off the McBurnie Ferrari kit to avoid the lawsuit? Ummmmmm....next car driven....can't remember. Vicky

Not the answer but what I remember from that movie is Ben Stein saying "Anyone, anyone" in his montone voiceLOL Vicky

The engine looks like it's in better (just a little) shape than the body. Does it even start? I'd be afraid if I sat in the seat, I'd go through the floorboard. Vicky

Vin Diesal (spelling?) at the end of "The Fast and The Furious" while driving that bad-azz red Chevelle. I also heard that was HIS Chevelle. Vicky

That's FUBAR. For one thing it sits way to high to even begin to look like a Ferrari. Reminds me of an old Ford Maverick...sorta. Vicky

Those are beautiful! I have a set for my 72 240Z. The price does seem a little high, but I guess that's what you pay for "right out of the box". Vicky
  21. My husband Scott would do ALL of the above but says this time he would build a "stroker" engine. Vicky

[ZRush, Yeah I'd seen that pic, it's very impressive! Was wondering if there were any sort of aiming from the seats looking back? As it's more everything behind the strut towers that I'm unsure of.. And what have you done on top of the towers? It looks so nice and clean!] Sorry there are no pictures from the front looking back. The back has the speaker cabinet form MSA. It too is covered in leather as well as the top of the strut towers. The guy that did the interior is a craftsman for sure. Believe it or not every picture of that car has been taken by someone else. I have no digital camera. Hoping to get one soon. Thanks again Will/aRCH-Z. Keep us posted as to your project. Always love to look at others ideas on interiors. Vicky

Hey Will, thanks for the nice comments. If you look in my gallery, the 2nd page has a shot of the back hatch area. All the plastic panels were covered in leather. Designing the interior was fun. Good luck with your project. I'm sure it will be awsome. Thanks again Vicky
