Thanks hls30.com. I guess with my last post I've kinda given it away that I'm a female chatting with a bunch of guys about Z cars. On this site Zrush is under my husband Scotts' name but I do all the talking. I guess now I have an excuse for all the dumb things I've said. My husband knows way more about the Z car than me but I love chatting with everyone. Hope no one minds.

Obviously the strut tower braces serve a purpose for keeping your car firm in corners. One for the rear strut towers and one for the fronts. I guess if you're just getting one for show it really doesn't matter how strong it is but if you're looking for strength, don't skimp. Just my .02 cents.

Mateo05 I love the design of the original Z interior, but I didn't want to keep the black. The interior of my husbands car (see gallery) has retained the original seat and door design but I just had it covered in different shades of leather. I must take credit for the design of the interior and my husband gets the credit for the engine, body and graphics. The choices are endless but the wallet isn't.

Knowing the wealth of Z knowledge 26th-Z has about our cars. I bet #19 WAS built in 10/69. :classic:

I presently have that screen saver. I like it until it gets to the 300ZX.

A little off topic GunnerRob but that's an excellent Avatar photo! I did a double take. Very cool Jurgon Auto in the porn world, now that's just flat out funny!

I am now relaxed. I just thought it was funny the way you used the "ahem.....". I meant no harm. Way too much coffee this a.m.

Sorry 2ManyZ's, just feeling a little frisky. Looks like a very nice car, but as you say the automatic is the only drawback. I've never driven an automatic Z nor would I really want to.....I guess.

"puke can" funny Victor. In the Summit catalog they have a engine "diaper". I guess they do actually hold the unwanted "crap" that spews from our cars.:classic:

    Nooooooooooo, here we go again
  13. I've had a couple friends burnt by purchasing a car via the internet. A guy saw a 1970 "Heavy Chevy" for $12,000.00. Seller sent pictures, beautiful car. When it arrived here in Florida it was rusted from the bottom up AND it was a CLONE!! Duh, the price should have given that away! One more "buyer beware" pitty story....... A buddy bought a 1970 LS6 Corvette with all the NCRS certificates and what not. The pictures too were great, a nice primo vette. Come to fine out the car leaked oil like a sive, the crome was all pitted and the paint was history. (The car was still fast , what with that big 'ole 454). The NCRS certificate was from when the car had seen better days...... say 15 years ago! THE END :tapemouth

Hey landmizzle did you put the centerforce dual friction clutch in your Z? I have that in my 77 280 with a 460 Schneider racing cam. Talk about grab and go! I just wish I had the twisty mountain roads to try it out on. With no moutains in sight here in Florida, I have to settle with being the first off the line to get to the next red light about 4 blocks up the road. Life in the big city:cry:

Oh- Jurgon AUTO invented the AUTO-mobile Is that true? I thought AUTO was a prefix for something that wasn't done manually. Or is that where the prefix came from.

Whoa! I just freaked out. The fifth picture down kinda looked like an old Mustang. It was the way the fender guards are hanging over the front of the car. I'm OK now.:stupid:
  19. Zrush replied to Fun_in_my_z's post in a topic in Open Chit Chat
I think that's correct. But we all know the first REAL car was the 240Z!
  20. If the whole "ricer" deal isn't overdone enough, now here in Florida we are starting to see alot of these cars with the "Decca" doors. Nothing, in my book, is more wack than a Mitsubishi with the lambo doors. This modification is not cheap by any means so these kids have got the funds. When I was their age, it was all I could do to get a set of slotted mags for my Mustang. Then I had to save for the Thrush mufflers. Remember those things how god awful loud they were!
  21. Unfreakinbelieveable! The automotive market has truly sunk to a new low. The sad thing is that someone will actually buy that and put it on their car.:tapemouth

I'm reaching here, but I'll say... to note that it's a metric bolt.
  23. Thanks for posting that link Gav240z. I see fault on both sides. I would never by a car over the internet without checking it out myself. Big mistake. As far as the seller, IMO he knew exactly what he was selling and if he claims he didn't know about the engine, then he's running a pretty lame business.

Our Z cars originally have one drive wheel. I've installed the MSA limited slip differential on my 77 280Z. It seems that when I punch it both wheels grab, like a posi rear would do. I know what limited slip is but would like a professional explaination as to how this type chunk works. thxz
