Sealing around fresh air intake - HVAC
For those who have reinstalled their HVAC systems, what have you used to replace the factory sealant used under the dash where the fresh air comes in? It is the "light brown" stuff in the attached picture. Thanks for your help, Skip Dawson

Maxi-Fuse holder
Thanks for the replys. The reason I was looking at the BEP unit is because it is 2 wires in and 2 wires out. No need to cut and change any of the wires going into the link. With the wiring in the 260Z already being weird, I did not want to have to change anything. Thanks again for the help, Skip

Maxi-Fuse holder
I am looking for a 2 position Maxi-Fuse holder to wire my up the fuseable links on my early 260z. I have located a holder made by BEP, Mfr # 704HDBFH , link below, but was wondering if anyone had any other ideas or suggestions. http://www.eangler.com/product/196978589msk.htm Thanks for your help, Skip Dawson

Thanks for the responses. I didn't know how much paint I needed to take off. I will take a look at the star washers.

Proper grounding
I am about to put my wiring harness back in a recently painted engine bay. What is the proper way to prepare spots that will be a grounding point? If anyone has a picture of 2, that would be great. I have gone thru the search but did not find anything specific. Thanks for your help. Skip

Little red button says push
I believe it is part of the 260Z interlock system. Look in the FSM.

Refreshing a horn
Thanks guys for responding. Yes I had seen the article and a thank you to Kenny P. for writing it. There is no mention of the gasket and that got me wondering if I needed it. The only other picture I have is also from Kenny P. and from the same series he used in the article. It is the light brown paper like material that is around the edge where the screw holes are to attach the 2 sides together. In Kenny's article one of his pictres shows just a bit of it left. I am trying to figure out what the purpose of it is. Why do the 2 halves need to be seperated by the paper gasket?

Refreshing a horn
Hello all, I am working on the horns and am wondering what you may have used to replace the paper gasket that is between the 2 pieces. Is it needed? Thanks for your help. '74 260Z

Konig owners - 240Z cap options
I got mine through the NASA deal about a year ago but I think the deal is over. $55.00 per wheel was a great price.

Brake line connections
Thanks for the responses. I will keep trying and also try harder to find my origional 3-way connector.

Brake line connections
Carl, Thanks for responding. The brake lines are original to the car and the 3-way is new. It does not feel right to me. One line seems to go in much easier then the rest. I didn't cross thread or damage the threads that I can see. The original 3-way is hiding somewhere in the shop.

Mirrors
I am looking for some mirrors simular to what MSA (attached pic) sells but made of metal. All I have found locally is made of plastic and feels cheap. If anyone could point me to a supplier or if you might have a pair for sale, that would be great. Thanks, Skip

Brake line connections
Hello, I am trying to get my brake system put back together and have a question about connecting the tubing and the 3-way connector in the rear. How difficult should it be to screw/tighten the tubing into the connector? I find that I can go about 2 turns and then it becomes very difficult to tighten anymore. I have cleaned the threads. The 3-way connector is new from Blk dragon. Thanks for your help. Skip

Hood hinges - Paint or Plate?
Hello everyone, I am trying to find information about hood hinges and if they were plated originally? I am at the point of making the decission of what to do. I have had most parts cad plated already but did not think of the hinges at the time. I have seen early 240z's and later 280z's with both paint and plating. What are yout thoughts on the subject? Thanks, Skip
