Where can one get a stand AND a hoist for 120? Everyplace I look wants 200 just for the hoist, and I can't rationalize spending that much for a part I'll use twice...

    Take Paypal? =D

I've arranged to buy it and pick it up. Everything except the clutch pedal and lines are mine for the taking. Hello, new Z...

Got a 140. Close to the real thing of 147. Took the test in first grade, before I skipped second.

I've been torn between going to a turbo swap or sticking with an L24 setup for some time now, and this just popped up on ZCAR.com. I wouldn't give $1500 for it, but should I go this route or do a turbo swap? http://www.zcar.com/classifieds/index.php?method=showdetails&list=advertisement&rollid=14306&fromfromlist=classifiedscategory&fromfrommethod=showhtmllist&fromfromid=34&
  6. How was fitment in the Z, and what are YOUR dimensions? I'm 6'1" weighing in at a mighty 175 pounds. In other words, I am interested.

Personally, I'll be ordering a set of 16" Volk Gramlight 57c's in gunmetal finish. 0 offset, 4x114.3 bolt pattern, and wrapping them with 205/50/16 Potenza SO-3's. I'll see how fitment is =D

I hear the search button swap is totally awesome...

Following that school of thought, would it be a bad idea to pour a little ATF in with one's next oil change to give things a good scrubbing?

Mine were 17mm (if we're talking about the bolts that hold the seatbelt assemblies to the floorpan). 5/72 240z.

Victor, If you want to investigate shipping I would not mind at all. I might even offset the price further for a CZCC member, providing you hook me up with some parts and know-how once in a while =D I'm not kidding when I say I do NOT want it in the hands of an idiot...the drivers in my area are mediocrely tasteful at best. Let me know. Anybody else?

Thanks for the heads-up on the exterior hazards, I hadn't read that. I suppose I'll just be doing the underbody and backs of body panels (that I can get to). The car will be stripped to bare metal, and then will be Marine Cleaned/Metal Readied. I have a very, very nice respirator and will be wearing it. I feel like such a nub...thought you all did EVERYTHING with POR-15. Only the parts you can't see??

Selling my 240sx to pay for part of my 240z's ongoing restoration. The car is in fabulous shape to say the least. No rust, no accidents, no problems. New Nissan starter, alternator, battery, brake pads, and clutch. Here is the Cars.com advertisement, but I would sell it to a member for $2500 in an instant. I'm located in Annapolis, MD but would ship if desired (and you pay). Please feel free to ask any questions, my e-mail is nathan@amoth.net . Thanks guys! p.s. One of you buy it so I don't end up selling it to some ricer! Cars.com Ad

I searched, but if this has been asked before, please delete this thread. How much POR-15 should I expect to use? I'm getting paid on Friday and am buying all my stripping/POR-15 supplies, as on Saturday the fun begins. I will be doing the entire car (underbody, exterior, maybe even the interior if I get motivated). As I've never used it before, I don't know how much to buy, and I'd rather buy it all at one time. Thanks in advance!

I see them on eBay all the time, with nobody bidding....heh heh.

Your little brother? Ouch! Talk about sibling rivalry...better have handed it to him good, intrafamily assault doesn't stand up in court! On the dashboard note, I think caps look like crap...but a lot better than a cracked dash =)

I've decided that I want to stick with the L24 powerplant for now, and turbo after I'm finished with school. I'd love to take a race/street-prepped motor off anyone's hands if they are upgrading to a V8/L28/L28ET/RB or whatnot. Webers or Mikunis are great too. I'm in Annapolis, Maryland but can drive anywhere on the East Coast or near. If the motor is simply recently (and WELL) rebuilt, that's fine too, I can build it myself. Thanks in advance.

I've lived in Missouri and Minnesota, and visited Texas often, so I'm no stranger to Tornadoes. I'll take quakes, hurricanes, whatever you can throw at me over a tornado. Nothing else is as terrifying. A hurricane seems brute force untargeted, but a tornado seems to hunt and chase something...*shudder*. They are fascinating to watch, but after you see a house torn to smithereens they become a little more frightening.

The "Nissan Comp Header and Exhaust," what is this? Is it a full exhaust with header? Which head(s) is it for? I may be interested.

This was my phantom battery drain (the latest one, I mean). I had the map light actually disconnected from the ground wire (it broke loose and I haven't reconnected it yet). The switch would be pushed into the "on" position and my battery would drain. Even though the light was not illuminating...does this make ANY sense at all? 'Cause when I touched the ground back to it and made sure the switch was "off," no more battery drain. Silly Z.

Is anyone else afraid to reply after Alfa's disgusting mental picture??
  23. gema posted a post in a topic in Electrical
I found my map light drains the battery even though I didn't have it "plugged in," per se. Door switches could be actuating...hmm. Could be the radio, the clock, a lot of things. Any ideas?

What about Ross' setup? At Modernmotorsports.com , I mean. He has an "Xtreme" setup with 13 inch rotors that fits on the front (and I think) and rear. Looks rather insane, I know I'll be doing it once I'm ready to just spend at will. Until then, 4 piston and rear disc conversion.
