Warning! - WIAT can strike you
I was just going to replace the right wheel well arch and paint mine. I now have more money in parts than I paid for this car in the 70's. I was bit by if you don't have time to do it right when will you ever have time to do it over bug. It is very closely related to the other two we are talking about. I like Beandip and Escalon say to the new guys make it safe and drive it. Then decide what to do with it. Having owned this one over thirty years made that an easy decision for me. Plus the complete backing from my wife really helps.

Global warmin, Montana and a 240z
This rain water after twenty eight days is getting a little much to deal with. Last week I was concerned with stepping off of the side walk and drive way. This week even the side walk is iffy in places.

I need parts car advice!!! Please help!!
I agree with Will. The price is too high for the work envolved to get them get the parts you need and then either scrap or sell the rest. Plus do you have a place to store them in the mean time, with out upsetting your neighbors? BTW New front fenders are still available from Nissan. Sounds like the second car is a total liability. No real value there. If the rockers are bad on yours look real closely at the right floor panel where it joins the rocker at the forward edge.

1st gen seats
Tom; Yes the original covers had metal vents in them. Took mine out in 77 when I recovered them also. They caught on your clothes and came loose. Replaced the center section with a breathable fabric instead of the vents. Like it much better. But, it is not stock if you are going that way. FWIW

Early / Late style fuel filler questions
Notice there a flanges on both ends of the early ones. The top one is in the filler box and the bottom one is under the quarter panel aft of the right rear wheel puts both outside of the car. So, if it isnt cracked do not mess with it. You must heat the upper end to reshape it enough to get it through the hole in the filler neck box. Go to page 171 of Wick Humble's book and you will read these instructions. Yes, the late model is the 280 also noted in the later instructions.

Re-tapping receiver plate inside door jamb
I agee there is not enough material to hold a helicoil. Another option is to use longer bolts and fish lock washers and nuts in through the cut outs. The bottom ones could be done fairly easily.. Glue the washer and nut together and then glue them to your wrench with contact or rubber cement. Slide them through the lower hole. Start the bolts and pull the wrench out repeat for the second one. I would do the outside one first then the inside. It will make adjusting the door a little more time consuming. Truthfully how often do we adjust the doors? Beats cutting and welding in a new plate or door frame.

Re-tapping receiver plate inside door jamb
I looked at my 70 passenger door it is apart. You can not really access it through the dogleg panel. I agree with Mike. Change the thread pitch or size as required.

Dan; Welcome; you will find alot of help here on , both what worked and the OOOP'S experences. There are a couple of threads going on replacing lights on these cars with LED's. Any experience in that area would be greatly looked at and discussed. Again Welcome

Antennae power is shorted out!
Mine is still apart so, I looked. Yes the stock wire harness uses two wires. Mine are located behind the radio speaker at the forward edge. Ground is through a bonding strap to the body. One more thing for me to test before I put that panel back on. FWIW

Windshield.
Ian; There is no inner and outer seal. It is all one piece. It is and "H" seal the glass goes in one side and the window frame in the other. I am going to follow Beandips lead and let the glass man do it.

Which cars had the radiator support painted black?
Mine was hand painted as well. I too read about the hand paint out of the factory think it was a post here.
