Body Panels - MSA vs Black Dragon?
I got my panels from MSA because Tabco was out of stock. The panels from MSA all had Tabco numbers and stickers on them.

Rusty tank
I used the POR system last fall and am really happy with the results. Cleaned the tank myself and followed all their instructions to a T.

New Slave.....No Result
I also had to use the old rod. The replacement was too short. I still do not understand the lack of pressure. The rod moves about an inch.

New Slave.....No Result
I put both a new slave and master cylinder in my 70 and there is very little resistance on the pedal. The good news is it operates. I am going to put the return spring back on mine that was on the early cars. Talking with Arne his car has low pressure also.

Electro-Plating Tailight Trim?
If you saw what Norm started with on my cores you would be amazed. The detail in the black was gone before he started. I was happy the day I unpacked them and I still am today. He did have a little bit of a challenge getting the left one to plate do to the years of exhaust fumes and smoke rolling over it. They are shiny they are done and they are mine.

Datsun Driving CANBY Fun June 14 & 15
John sorry you are not coming over to the show. I was looking forward to meeting another long time Z owner. I am coming down to see the cars and spend the day with my Z friends. I did not register and will pay the 5.00 and park inside with all the other Z cars after we meet up at the rest stop. I have truly enjoyed both of the last two years looking at cars and putting faces to the names I contact all year. I look forward to being in Canby next week end.

What is the best part of taking your Z out for a spin?
I am coming to Canby. Won't be the first or last time this Z has been wet. I am sure a couple of the group from the North will have an awning. If mine leaks I still won't melt. Getting to see all the hard work go down the road knowing I built it the way I wanted.

My plans are to be down that weekend. Will try to get to your place around noon Friday. Got the front end lined up this past week and been taking those jaunts around town each one a little further then the last. I did loose the speedometer indication this afternoon. Will have to get into that real soon.

Here is the latest on the Z. The interior complete minus the strap on the passenger door and the glove box door. Would like to find a better door. Had the Z over to the High school to pick up my son. The Z was a hit again.

Successful skin graft (roof skin, that is)

Last Friday was the day we had been looking for in every box that came here from all the different suppliers and friends around the couontry. I put the keys into the Z and drove it. Getting the little things worked out. What a great feeling. See the last couple of years work all come together and down the street. Still a few minor things to get worked out but, nothing to write home about.

I need a morale boost :(
Drove this one friday. I have just started the shake down process after having it tore clear down. Hope to have all the little things out of it in the next week or so. Then I will head south into the Portland area to see what the guys think and maybe get a few corners in as well. Really looking forward to the drive. Yes Arne I would stop by there.
