Fuel sending unit for a late 260z
Looking to get an new fuel sending unit for Christmas. I was wondering since I have a late 260z and that they share parts with a 280z. Does anyone know if I should be getting a 240z fuel sending unit or 280z? Thanks

Intake/Exhaust Valve Brands
Looking to get a set of 75-78 280z valves for my p79 head. Shopping around it seems like the brands that offer the valves are ITM, DNJ, Unknown vendor on z car depot or the more expensive options california datsun SS valves, and supertech. Other than NOS Fuji am I missing any brands here? Also, does anyone have experience with ITM or DNJ parts? Thank you,

Duralast Brake Master Cylinder
Wish it was that easy. There is a casting it just says 01 though.

Duralast Brake Master Cylinder
It does taper down into a smaller hole. Would the measurement be from the top of the taper or the bottom?

Duralast Brake Master Cylinder
Got a Duralast M51837 brake master cylinder off a buddy of mine. It's supposedly a 15/16. When I measured the bore it is a little over 1". Would I be able to use this paired with a 280zx brake booster or is 1" too big?

L26 Rebuild Original E88 or P79
I would say it depends on where you are located. A 240z/260z here in California are definitely more sought after than a 280z because of emissions law, unless you can find a 75 280z which is rare. If emissions wasn't a thing I would have been picking up a 280z for less. I get it though about the L28 swap which I have considered extensively. My plan is to build the L26 because it is the fastest avenue to getting my car back on the road. I figured if I feel I want to swap an L28 in the future, I can build a really nice one on the side and swap it later.

260z Bottom Door Striker
Does anyone know where I can get the bottom piece under the door striker? I think it is called a spring loaded door stopper. I have seen some cars without them are they necessary? Thanks,

Do you have anything done to the e88 head?

L26 Rebuild Original E88 or P79
Thanks for the reply. I guess I have more research to do on the e88 head. I am concerned about the possibility of pinging due the chamber design, but I'm sure the right cam can solve that issue. I couldn't find the actual measurements between the L26 P30 block vs F54, but from what I've read the L26 flat tops also crest above the block. There is conflicting dimensions throughout the forums.. so I might have to just pull the head and measure this one myself.

L26 Rebuild Original E88 or P79
Hello I just recently purchased a late 74 260z and have the engine out ready for a rebuild. My plan is to keep the matching engine block with the car and do some performance mods to cylinder head. I am having trouble deciding what to do after reading and researching. From what I've read, the e88 head that came on the 260z is known as a emissions head and is not the greatest in terms of performance, if not the worst head that was offered on the s30. Is this head really that bad or would it be worth it to get it shaved, ported, polished, and hot cammed? I also have a p79 head that I recevied for cheap. I've read the datsunzgarage mod for this head which is to shave, shim the towers, etc. I already have the L26 block with Flat top pistons, which I have read the P79 is better suited to. Other than notching the intake side of the bore for valve clearance, I believe this combo should work. My thoughts are for the p79 head higher compression, better quench design, less pinging, existing steel valve seats vs brass, and better performance. Is the juice worth the squeeze on the P79 head or should I just stick with the E88 head? Thanks
