  5. Those are great looking seats! I'm wondering if the metal vents higher up the seat back will cause problems for you when they've been sitting in the sun awhile. Keep us posted.
  6. The Great Race came through Reno yesterday -- 3 Z's present and accounted for Dave Perdue posted some good images on the Northern Nevada Z Car Club FB page also:

  8. It's not like there isn't Italian influence in the Z design . . .
  9. Did a double-take when I first saw this Road & Track photo of the new Fiat/Miata/Fiata. Seems vaguely familiar -- maybe they should develop a fastback?! http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/first-drives/news/a29486/fiat-124-qa-review/
  10. Something different — Here's an LA craigslist ad for what is claimed to be the original pace car from the 1982 Caesar's Palace Formula 1 race: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lgb/cto/5600483262.html
  11. Three S30's are among entries in this year's Great Race which begins from San Rafael, CA on June 18. According to the event site, these include cars brought from Japan as part of a 5-car contingent specifically to participate in the crosscountry rally. 18. John Coffey referenced this purpose-built '73 in several posts -- here's a video taste: http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/classic-cars/videos/a29112/1973-datsun-240z-peking-to-paris/

  20. Good point about damaging the rear defroster, even though UV film is not supposed to interfere with its operation. Regarding tint laws, this stuff is clear so they claim it even can be applied to the windshield. Distortion is a consideration, though.
  21. UV film sounds like a good option for lowering cabin temps: http://petrolicious.com/does-window-tint-ever-belong-on-classic-cars
