Blue Demon Z . . . Subaru?
Odd little project -- but the anime clip is some nice Z imagery: http://jalopnik.com/this-electric-mini-wangan-midnight-datsun-z-is-actually-1753440683

Japanese 1/8 scale fairlady kit
More details here, Mike. It's such a big project (and expense) that it's a subscription kit: http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/2015/06/18/minicars-a-brief-history-of-subscription-scale-models/ 100 batches of parts at roughly $15 US a pop = $1500 -- plus international postage, of course.

This is a Las Vegas dealer ad that was featured on Hemmings - with that exposure and price, it could be long gone. http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/dealer/datsun/240z/1796404.html?refer=home

How the 'Lady got her name
Any Elizas out there? When I go in the garage, I'm reminded of the do-little part http://petrolicious.com/articles/daily-fix/yes-nissan-named-a-car-after-the-musical-my-fair-lady

Timing hole #2
I don't have access to the Honsowetz or Bob Waar "How to Modify..." books for tech support at the moment but this is accepted practice to gain a little more low-end grunt at the expense of high-end power. To be safe, cycle the cam by hand first to make sure everything is as it appears and there's no unexpected resistance.

Pass/flash button on indicator stalk
It lacks the style points of adapting a factory part, but an option is to rewire the switch for flash-to-pass capability. This diagram for modifying a Datsun 510's wiring circuits shows additional relays installed as well. http://datsun510.com/data/3018/510_Lighting_Flsh-to-Pass.jpg

Wheel and tire size recommendations
No technical specs on this photo from JNC but these would appear to be Cromodora 14"(?) on a Japanese car. Really fit nicely with the Ferrari Daytona characteristics of the Z.

OS Giken 240Z in action
In the driving video, the complete hood looks to be in place. For the OS Giken SEMA booth, a modified hood gave the car some finishing touches but still kept their engine on display. More info from the JNC site: http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/2015/11/05/sema-2015-day-01-the-emergence-of-old-school-japan/

OS Giken 240Z in action

Late 72 240z automatic trans
Guess the other key number in this listing is the goose-egg in the feedback rating. Too much money to take at face value.
-
Late 72 240z automatic trans
Less than 18k on the odo, so the NEXT seller could tidy it up and claim a legitimate, original, seriously low-miles car. Might see it back on the market in a few months ...
