About Me

A Z enthusiast since high school (late 1980's).  Had a '72 240z that sadly was sold by the parents when I was away on somewhat of a sabbatical.  I have dreamed of having a z ever since... but alas... so expensive.

Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago and I found a car in the Seattle area.  Bought it essentially site unseen.  When it arrived, I was so happy... until I really started taking a look.  Passenger frame rail... gone along with the entire floor board.  The carpet was literally touching the ground.  Rust everywhere.

At first, I just decided, "Oh well, guess I'll just part it out."  After all, it has an L28 motor with an N42 head.  Someone upgraded (albeit 'sketchily') to fuel injection and headers.  No idea if it will start, but internally so far looks sound... no water, no rust under the valve cover.  All windows intact.

After sulking for half a day I went online to see if anyone else had tackled such an overwhelming and seemingly impossible task.  Then I found some posts from this forum!  And I decided to take on this project full bore.  I have no plans to sell my finished product... it's my dream car.  If it takes me 5 years, so beit.

Anyway, super excited to be a member of this community now!!
