I apologize for all the confusion and going back and forth! I finally have a Datsun. She's a blue metallic '73 240Z. I "Z", therefore, I am. Mike, I still am very interested in coming to the Ga Z Club meetings and will definitely be there in June! Jason

Hey all, It turns out that I am back in the market for a Datsun. I'm looking for a 240Z or 280 Z, ideally in Georgia. The car must be reliable and a daily driver, since I will be driving across the country to northern California at the end of the year. My price range is up to $4500-ish. Please email me if you are selling! grassrootsracer@hotmail.com Thanks! Jason
  6. Will, Thanks for the info! This morning, my dad told me pretty much the same thing, and that a title isn't required. I just can't sell the car....not that I ever will. 4 days until I finally get my Z. YEAH! :classic: Jason
  7. So did anyone ever figure out what to do? I'm in the same situation as y'all. I'm buying a 1973 240Z from a guy in North Carolina. The car doesn't have a title, which, as far as I know, is required for registration and a tag. I live in Georgia and plan to drive this daily, and am totally unsure of what to do. A friend of mine, who's father is a lawyer, bought a 1975 Porsche 914 without a title. Instead, he used a Bill of Sale for registration and a tag, if I remember correctly. Does anyone know if the DMV will accept a Bill of Sale for registration, a tag, and obtaining a title? I'm not surprised that a government "service" is so confusing. My father is supposed to have talked to the people at the DMV today, so I will know later tonight. I'll post whatever I know at the first chance I get. Jason

How do you obtain one of these custom-year Z-cars? Is it rust-proof? Perhaps it is like a Fairlady? Hmmm....no? Gosh. :dead: :stupid: Jason

Dear fellow z-car enthusiasts, After doing some thinking, I've decided to add 280Z's to my search. The aforementioned criteria would need to be met of course, but I will look at those too. Jason

Mike, thanks for the invitation! I'd love to go, but am recouperating from wisdom teeth removal and my dad is an accountant....meaning he's very busy till right after the 15th. Oh well, but I will be there next month! Jason

Thanks for the advice! I have been considering that option, and I might end up doing that. However, that is my last...no...next to last resort. My last resort is to buy my mom's Exploder (not a typo) and be stuck with that for a year or two, but I've already been through an Exploder and refuse to drive another American car :dead: , if at all possible. Just thinking aloud. Jason
