You said you wanted 72 switches. That's definitely a 73 switch.

@Flyzlo While the part number on the bag is for a 72, the switch looks like it is for a 73-76. The wiper control is the key. On the 72 the wiper has Off, Lo, and Hi. (Off and 2 dots). On the 73-76, the wiper has Off, Int, Lo, and Hi. (Off and 3 dots) Having said that, how much to ship to Zip Code 30506?

Nissan's problems started well before Renault came into the picture. Whereas Toyota and Honda had significant production capacity in America in the early 90s, Nissan did not have enough, and when the yen got strong, Nissan was priced out of the marketplace.

Group Harrington may not be the cheapest, but they had no problem with taking my credit card. I did have to contact the bank to tell them it was a legit charge. Group Harrington also shipped promptly.

I took the 260Z over to a friend's house today. I wanted to check how close my timing light was to his. At idle it was 1 degree off. That was close enough for me. He said I could still bump it up a couple of more degrees, and I said I would think about it. It just cruises so nicely now. We looked at a car he was working on for a customer. It was draining the battery after an alternator replacement. The previous alternator and replacement were both GM alternators. I told him before we got over there that the switched wire wasn't landed at the right spot. We checked the draw. It was 4 A. I told him to disconnect all but the ground and main wire. The draw disappeared. We validated that it wasn't the EFI relay (78 280Z). I didn't think it was, but since I don't have the wiring diagram memorized, I couldn't absolutely rule it out. I told him to swap the wires. He did, and there was no draw on the battery. Unfortunately, the battery had been drained and recharged too many times, and it needs to be replaced. We then moved to one of his cars. It's a 73 with an L28ET swap. It didn't have headlights. I checked the fuses. I made sure there was voltage at the fuses. The headlights still weren't on. I checked at the combo switch, and I found voltage on the dash harness side. I told him there was a grounding issue. We found the ground wire that wasn't connected, and the headlights came on. Then there was the matter of the high/low dimmer switch. It was non-functional. He had another turn signal switch, so I stripped off a good high/low switch from it and put that on the switch for the 73. Now it will change from high to low and back again. He called me after I got home. He didn't like how my transmission sounded as I left his house. I will raise the car on the lift and check the transmission oil level later this week. I like Z car days like this.

With the 4 barrel carburetors, the challenge is to balance out being too lean on 1 & 6 with being too rich on 3 & 4. I've never messed with a 4 barrel myself. You still need about the same low fuel pressure for the 4 barrel carburetor as you do the SUs.

Linkage: https://zcarsource.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=linkage If you run higher fuel pressure, the fuel will push the floats down, and you will get too much fuel in the fuel bowls. That's a bad thing.

For running the fuel lines, you could use -6AN braided lines. When I first swapped in an L28 with the N47 Maxima head, I changed over to braided lines because I was only running an electric fuel pump. (The head had not been opened up for a mechanical fuel pump.) I was using a Holley Blue fuel pump and ran it to a Holley fuel pressure regulator in the engine bay. I didn't need to run a return since the fuel pump is internally bypassed, but you could run the return from the FPR. I installed a fitting for a fuel pressure gauge and dead-headed the fuel rails for the carburetors. You can even get banjo fittings for the SU carburetors so you can run braided line all the way to the carburetors if you want. If you don't have flat top carburetors, you don't need it.

Is there any chance you can read the part number on it? It looks like that is unlikely.

What are the wire colors on the engine harness side?

@Captain Obvious engineered his own solution for a heater core. I'm sure the good Captain will link that thread here, in case you need that guidance.

FYI, when looking at the ZCON website on a phone, there should be a menu icon in the top right corner of the screen (on top of the second N in Nissan on the image below). It is the 3 horizontal bars. When you touch it, it brings up the site menu. You can get to the hotel link that way.
