  1. I don't think it is a matter of just flipping the bumper bar over as the brackets for the licence plate are welded to the bumper bar. The picture below is my 73 Aussie 240Z with the lights under the bar, which I thought was the standard configuration. WarrenZ
  2. Hey Rick, There is a company in Sydney Australia selling the spoiler shown in the posts above. Have a look at the web site, go to Z parts http://www.sportsclassic.com.au/z.asp Cheers Warren
  3. Hi The Aussie 240/260's did not come standard with any front spoiler. There was a factory option of a small black spoiler that bolted to the standard front valance panel.Bit like a chin spoiler. I have been searching for a pic as some of the club guys down here have them. I have not found a clear pic yet. As far as the lights go in Australia. The 70-72 240 just had the white parking light in the valance panel that doubled as the turn indicator. The 73 240 had the orange turn indicator lights bolted to the bumper bar as the laws changed in 73. The white parking light under the bumper bar was still there as standard. The 74 onwards 260 had a dual orange turn signal light and a white parking light in the valance panel. There is no difference to the front valance panel on any of the aussie cars. So you should not end up butchering the front of the car. You could look around our web site www.viczcar.com Cheers Warren
  4. Hi, I think you will find the clunks are a combination of many things, any bushes you replace will make a slight improvement. The Front Diff Mount is available from any Nissan Dealer in Australia and was $115 AUD when I bought one in April 2004. Replacing this made a big difference. Cheers Warren

  7. The figures were posted by Carl Beck on zhome.com under production figures. He says they come from the "DATSUN 280ZX" book published in 1978 by Nissan Motor Company. Anyone got the book? www.zhome.com WarrenZ
  8. I found some info on the web some time ago, reportedly official Nissan numbers on the qty of 240/260's imported to Autralia. You may have already seen them. 1970 = 319 1971 = 894 1972 = 362 1973 = 783 1974 = 442 1974 (2+2) = 599 1975 = 198 1975 (2+2) = 742 1976 = 385 1976 (2+2) = 1615 1977 = 98 So your 600 left puts that at 10% survival rate ?
