If I come across one in storage or at the bone yard it's yours Scott. Other than that we need to hook up and go to Pomana or Irwindale!
  6. For regular rubber you would use a spray bottle with a dilution of 1/4 gram or somthing like that of dry graphite to the whole bottle dilutted with water and alcahol. when the water and booze drys away it leaves the dry lubticant (graphite) in place. For the kit we are talking about way back when Motorsport used tell you to wrap them in Teflon tape. I don't have a radio in the beast And the only noise I hear is the wrong offset rims rubbing the fenders. Back in the day the teflon tape was an old school trick to use when harder urethan bushings came out. :devious:

For the HLS30 or your new SPL311? Whats man the Z still sitting on the street? Haven't passed by your pad for a long while? :devious:
  8. I used tflon tape. Warped around sway bar, then wraped around bushing in brackets. where ever I could. no noise. :devious:

It's your A/C compressor. It could be stuck, that's why there is no drive belt. loose it all. It'll look much neater and save a few pounds. :devious:
  12. There's even a new engine variation from I believe its Motown? A true big block CID of 454 out of a true SBC casting, either in cast iron or for a nice chunk of change extra all Aluminum. Very sick! I wish someone would do that kinda development for the L engine, but the aftermarket is still so slow to catch up with the Z folk. :devious:
  13. 1996 last owner on record for the car, if the DMV keeps records that long. Point 180Z? That's all. :devious:
  14. Over 900 post too, some scientist! :devious:
  15. 1996 compared to the original buyer of a 78 180Z, which nobody has every heard of or seen! I would try carfaxs and the Colorado dept of motor vehicles, just for kicks. :devious:

Does not always equal the out come! Most Highly illegal races I have won in any givin situation, have been due to the fact that I was not affraid to push the Z. Most people who buy the most of a car the can afford because it is the most, are not willing to push OR Scracth it in a heads up competion. That's were the Z will shine. No matter how expensive the other car is, if the driver is not willing to test HIS/HER metal the car don't mean S$%t. :devious:

The ealier S12 calipers are for the stock Z rotors, the S12w are a bit larger/wider to accomadate the thicker Z31 Vented rotors. With the Z31 upgrade you will not be able to use 14" rims. Depnding on the 14" rims you have you might be able to use after marcket 114's are a later style ZX 14" rim. Being that the later style ZX rims had I believe two different positve offsets, as the 240Z had zero offset. A 1" inch spacer seems like a lot to try to fit 14 over the S12, 3/8" 1/4" a little file here and ther might do the trick to keep 14's. :devious:

Good to hear from you mate! Frank. :devious:
  23. texasz, it would actually be work trying to pull the rotating assemble out in the care while not causing the parts any damage, than just removing the engine all together. It might sound like more trouble to remove the engine, but it's not compared to remove the parts in the manner that you asked about. Once the engine is out you can have you way wiht it in any manner you need, with out all the suffering would go through otherwise. :devious:

In your post sblake your comments where directed AT Me. Not at the way the thread was going with other vehicles being mentioned other than Z's. I understand that MINE was the last one in line when you posted. That's was why I left my first comment. Yet YOU still had static with my original posting. I can, you can, every other member can read Mike's original post and take it as THEY would like to and add every different car to thier list they wish. But your comments where directed at MY post! And I truly find no personal enjoyment from "attacking" a fellow member from or club! Nor do I excpect to have to resort to such defense when I feel that a member is some how attacking me. Yes sblake your very secure, that's why you edited your original post! Yes I agree this is very done, and should never have happened! :devious:
  25. But like other members would say "try the search function" :devious:
