I know almost everyone out there has 240's & 260's but I happen to like the 280zx's the best. Sure they are the biggest, heaviest, and slowest of the z's but I still like them the best. Every one knows how they squat through the gears, I would like to elimate this as much as possible. I am going to change the springs and shocks but I don't want to stiffen the car too much and I don't really want to lower it if I don't have to. By the way, I have an '83 280zx with 71k miles on it. On ebay I can buy a set of Tokico springs and gas shocks for around $350, much less than Motorsport or Victoria British. My main purpose is to stiffen up my ride (a little) but mainly to elimate the rear end squat when shifting gears. I don't race this car, so I don't need any extremes. I would appreciate any recomendations on which way to go. Thank you, Bill

I should know this but I'm not sure. On the 1983 ZX, are the t-tops the same for the coupe and 2+2? Thanks, Bill

Hi,I'm on my 4th 280zx and have looked over dozens more. I have come to the conclusion that somewhere around 140K miles the last exhaust bolt by the firewall breaks off. Rencently I found a '83 280zx with only 71K miles and it is also missing that last bolt. Maybe its not a mileage thing and more of a year thing. I think it has to be a heat problem and that mileage has something to do with it. But this Z with 71K seems to early, and yes I beleive the mileage is correct, many things point to its accuracy. Does anyone have the true reason why all these bolts are missing. Thanks, Bill

Hi, I'm new to this Zcar club. I'm not even sure if anyone will read this. Anyway, I own two 280ZX's both 1983's, silver and orangemist, They are coupes, manual and non-turbo. It seems like 90% of all Z- lovers like the 240, 260, and 280's. I like the 280ZX's the best. I know they are the heaviest and the slowest, but they are still my favorite. I'm sure there must be others like me out there. Thanks, Bill
  6. Beautiful paint job, ? What color is the top of the car (hood) looks like it could be darker.:classic:

Hi, Im new to this club or any club. I'm trying to restore a 83 280zx and am looking for a new or next to new dashboard (Black). You use to be able to purchase them from the dealer, but they don't offer them anymore. I figure somebody or company must of bought them. Can anyone help. Bill
