triple SUs
I think the only way to get the benefits of a triple SU setup would be changing the firing order of the engine via a custom cam.

Painless Wiring Universal Kit?
One simple question for all the electrical gurus: Is it worth it? or Is it better to read up on how to do a ground up rewire with modern connectors, relays, etc?

Wow both interiors are just...wow. Zrush few questions: Where did you get those armrests, doorhandles and window roller for the door? Nice job on the doors, did you do it yourself? What materials did you use for the carpet and trunk space? What did you use for the backing on the grey leather over the wheel wells? Fiberboard, fiberglass, just glue it on? Do you still have the templates for those covers over the rear roll bar area? What kinda dash is that? Again, very nice job inside and out, quality show car, and would make an excellent daily driver that would wet any car enthusiats pants. Hls30.com- Very original, and you just gave me an idea for the headliner:stupid: Ok, I think I got my interior designed layed out, just give me a few months and Ill post pics. So busting out a Lazarus on this thread at about June. Till then, keep up the beautiful Z's.

Sandblasting: Pros? Cons?
Yes very much so, this helps alot. Im new to body work in general and angle grinder with a sanding attachment is taking way too long. So somebody suggested to me about sandblasting and what better people to ask than ClassicZcars.com. Thanks Matt

Sandblasting: Pros? Cons?
Ok I found a cheap siphon fed sandblaster and have access to a pretty decent size air compressor. But the more I read up on sandblasting from books in the library, they say it warps the metal, but a lot of people I know sandblast their cars to get rid of paint and rust. Not to mention play sand from Lowes is dirt cheap compared to blasting material found online like plastic beads, walnut shells, etc.

Carpet: Is it possible?

As opposed to totally restoring the interior to original, which would mean of turning the whole car to original, I think Im just going to make a car with a more modern look. I need a few ideas so I can start sketching and get a general idea of what I want the interior to look like. Im probably going to go for a tan and black interior color scheme. Keep the dash, but get a dashcover due to cracking, and I think I can get some black seats out of a wrecked Miata, and the rest is going to be changed. Thinking so far, make some black speaker or just regular boxes covering the three sides of the trunk area, covering the lower, but not replacing, the rear quarter plastic panels and totally replacing the rear panel. Still haven't decided how Im going to cover them or what material to use. Trunk space is most likely going to be covered in tan carpet as is the front area. Doors are gonna be a tan center with black edges. Maybe incorperate some grey/polished aluminum metal accents, and some wood, sorta found in newer cars today. Gonna make it simple, nothing too fancy other than stitching a tan Z logo in the seats maybe? This will all look very well and I guess luxurious with a deep silver paint color.

Carpet: Is it possible?
Sound wise I want quiet, I could care less about loud exhaust.

Carpet: Is it possible?
Interior questions: I was wondering if you could do your own carpet job and not need to buy the expensive kits from MSA or Victoria British? Also where is the best bang for your buck insulation and adhesive? Also which is better just prime and paint job for the interior or POR 15?

POR-15, Undercoating, and Rust Questions
Well since I have already begun the stripping process how can I protect the metal from rust now until the spring?

POR-15, Undercoating, and Rust Questions
First off, thanks for all the advice so far, I greatly appreciate it. So far I have all my POR-15 questions answered. I will be ordering my POR soon and knock my heart out on the interior. mperdue, I live near Tyler, TX which is a 2 hr drive East on I20 from Dallas. Oh yeah some explaining for the two names. Seems that my first name was having some logging in problems, and I just kinda...made another one because I couldn't figure out what was wrong hahaha. One more question, how long can I leave bare metal standing? Im doing this in my houses garage so its away from the elements or does this matter at all? Ok so I can't count and thats two questions but whateverROFL

POR-15, Undercoating, and Rust Questions
oh and 10.When Im done with the stripping and POR-15, I no longer have the tar mat(because somehow it was stuck to the metal and had to be chisled off in chips) and jute material. What are some good insulation, sound dampener, and where to get it?
