my gearbox is making a weird noise when travelling 70kms/hr and I think i posted this before about reversing on slight slope... its kinda slipping wont move at all you have to press the accelerator all the way down before it moves

Hi Are the lights on your instrument panel really dim? Mine is very dim hardly see the instrument at night time can you replace this with higher rating bulb to make it brighter?

When I try to reverse like on a slight angle road or a driveway (thats why I cant reverse park) the car wont move and it just revs as if its on handbrake or braking, but try it on level ground and its reversing fine. Checked the diff oil and tranny fluid and they are fine. Any ideas?

I read that article you posted and I think I'll leave it to the mechanics to do the swap.... :stupid: I wish I can do it myself as I would like to learn but still need someones supervision or who knows a little bit to help me. I'm asking this friends cousin to help me with it... just few more beers to go....

the bad news is that I dont know anyone who can do it for me free or cheap and i wouldnt do it myself as I want to leave that field to the professional as they got experience in doing those kinda things and if I make a slight mistake its my car and my life thats going to pay for that. Now I have to decide should I get the chrome rims or the spacer as I found some mags which looks really mad but for extra AU$600

Performance Wheel quoted US$388.50 for four 1" adapters including shipping it to australia Modern Motorsports quote US$360 + US$60 to send it to australia thats just for the adpater/spacers damn.... thats expensive if I buy a new set of chrome 15 x 8 IMCA/WISSOTA D-HOLE WHEEL it will cost US$492 thats like around US$100 more than the spacers alone! hmmmm

when brake is applied the inner lights (the one with very dim light when its on) light up normally which is bright. I checked the ground wire and its all connected right no loose connection or something. thanks I'll try to print it if its readable... I'm thinking just getting a new wiring loom from a different car thats got two dual filament sockets so when you brake both outer and inner lights up as well as braking. My sunny have the same specs but different harness might get an extra one to play with... its just that its annoying i should be doing other work beside this ..now I have to finish this one first before I start with something else, you guys know what i mean its frustrating...

Anyone got the wiring diagram? or tail light/stop light harness diagram? would be very helpful to know which one is the ground wire as Im not that good in electrics

why would the outer lights have dual filaments if its not supposed to light up? hmmmmmmmm if its JUST supposed to light up on parkers or headlights on it should only have ONE filament not two. I thought I bought a good working GTR lights and paid a reasonable price for it and now I have to fix it and get a professional help and will cost extra $$$

The inner brake lights work the way it should but the outer lights 2nd filament (for braking doesnt light up) this is very frustrating and annoying

do you know what "A" stands for? guessing V = votage and W = wattage? no I dropped my tail lights while taking panels off the indicators and reverse lights are working fine just the inner ones

what do you mean old tail lights? or do you mean old bulbs? well the bulbs didnt light up at all you can see closely that the filaments are broken, so I replaced them as the bulbs are inexpensive anyway. My old tail lights broke. If you tested it before and it was working fine then the joins should be OK, I checked it its a bit dodgy but OK

Lachlan, yes the old bulbs were not working so bought 4 new dual filaments, can you check yours what power specs (w) you got for the bulbs, I dont think this will be the problem anyway as you can put higher rating to make it brighter anyway... I checked the wiring and saw the join "Y" connection and they seem look pretty good join. If its not connected right then it wouldn't light up the first place right? Would like to have those quarter panel skyline badges... let me know any ideas

I tried the lights daytime and night time and I can tell you that it is VERY VERY DIM in percentage the bulb lights up maybe 10-20% it looks really bad

Anyone knows where I can get adapters? I want to have 4 x 114.3mm PCD to 4 x 110mm PCD or Nissan Pattern to Mazda pattern as I saw this nice looking wheels but its got mazda stud pattern so wondering if I can get an adaptor is it also safe to have these? i know the wheels will come out more as well as the centre of the weight the car is FOR STREET USE only thanks in advance

hey Lachlan how you doin'? Friday afternoon I was going to put the GTR tail lights and the dual filaments are not working so opened it up and put new dual filaments then tried it and the inner red lights are very very very dim do you have any idea why its not lighting up 100% the rest of the lights are working fine, just the two inner ones. tried changing bulbs and no luck. Anyone have a clue?

I'd say you can sell it more than $2000 the car is getting rare and there's not much out there go for the big $$$!!!
