Thinking about buying a 240k GT
hey lachlan, where did you get the quote from? Wow that expensive? I replaced my windscreen before but not my 240K my other old car and they had to make it cos they dont stock it anymore so it took like just over a week and I was only quoted $160 cos i shopped around and told them I got this price even though I didnt hehehe.... Anyway on the yellowpages theres a guy I cant seem to remember his name but he makes windscreens and he charges less than half of the price O'Brien charges... anyway just sharing my experience... Regarding the 240K check the battery tray and around it as well for rust. Regarding maintenance parts they are cheaper than the Z but not as common so you gonna have to order parts for it, still available though. 5 speed gearbox are getting rare or butchered cos heaps of the smaller datsun cars uses them moslty the P510s

Crankcase breather?
An oil catch tank works & functions like a crankcase vent filter. In most vehicles, the vented gas & oil are recycled back into the vehicle air intake piping just before the throttle body. An oil catch tank will bypass the connection between the crankcase & air induction intake piping. This will help in relieving the pressure placed against the valve train under severe engine loads. Unlike other small crankcase filter, the Oil Catch Tank will prevent oil dripping onto adjacent engine components. The tank will catch or collect excess engine oil that is vented out by the valve train. This will ensure a clean engine compartment and maintain the custom look of the engine, and at the same time, maximizes engine performance.

Crankcase breather?
Blitz sells them or you can find some generic ones for 1/4 of the price. In qld its illegal to just use the small air filter

Crankcase breather?
Install an Oil Catch Can? or put a small filter on it? but not sure if its legal...
