well I prefer the 4 speed myself when i was road racing. Could stay in a gear longer not having to shift as much. But I liked the 5 speed better for drag racing. It just depends also on your read end gearing. But on my stock 240z i had I prefered the 4 speed. Just seemed to perform better.

I just purchased a 1989 300zx thats an auto. I was looking for info on changing it to a 5spd. Is there anything really major to change out, or just the typical pedal assembly and well prob the pcm as well. And the trans, flywheel and whatnot. Just woundering if anyone has done that swap before. thanks for the info. I just bought the car, it needs a little body work on the front end. Well if you really wanted to take care of the problem. Do what I did on one of my early 240z's. I got a plate to block off the old mechanical pump and installed a electric pump back by the tank along with a pressure regulator and a pressure gauge under the hood. It always supplied the perfect ammount of gas. And was not to costly to do.

The extended exhaust tip makes a huge difference in that smell. I did that first, then can run with the windows down all day and get no head ache

no, not changing engines out. Staying with the L6. This Z i am going is a 73 240. I have had several and done them each different. I just saw i believe was a Jacobs system once, it just looked interesting. I have a complete turbo motor and all the goodies from a 1983 to put into the car. Just was looking at different options.

well yes I know why I have not seen many, people are affraid of the system. I have run one on a mustang, it was an really reliable system.

I am looking for any info anyone has on a turbo set-up for a 4-barrel carb system. I have only seen one of these on a car a while ago. I am looking to build something along the same lines as that. But just woundered if anyone had any info or anything like that for sale. Thanks
