  1. I got it Fixed turns out I had two problems 1 The top electric plug on the IC Module was cracked and had a piece broken off so it must have been shorting out. I installed a used one from and old distributer I was saving. 2 The Air gap in the distributer itself was was off and one magnet was touching the rotor as it spun, the hold down screws were loose, it took some time to get that adjusted correctly Put it together and it started right up
  2. I left the charger on all night last night, will check the voltage after I eat breakfast. I checked the coil by first checking the ohms between the center pole on the coil and the negative screw was withing the limits in the book, then between the positive and the negative screw and still within limits, I also did that with a spare coil I have and it was almost the same readings, so I am pretty sure the coil is good. I pulled the two wires off the ic module and checked them for power with a light tester. the top one had power at both slots and the lower one had power at one slot. I am fairly sure power is going to the module. I have a spare module from an old distributer that I replaced 3 or four years ago, is there a way to check that off the car????
  3. I was backing out of the driveway and the engine stalled. Then the starter solenoid just clicked and clicked and finally turned the engine over but it would not start. Troubleshooting I found No spark from the Hi tension Coil wire to ground, what could be wrong I am stumped? Bill
