  1. I agree 100%. Chrome wheels on a S30 doesn't do it for me either.....
  2. 15's look good. 17's are too big for the car IMHO.
  3. Talked with Steve Epperly from Z Therapy and we are going to swap my flapper air cleaner for a non flapper version. He believes it will work. My car has a 2/71 date.
  4. Do you think the early non flapper air cleaner will clear?
  5. I have a weird situation on my 240Z. The air compressor interfers with the part of the air cleaner which hangs down for the air pump. May have to leave it as is or put separate K & N's......I wonder if an early air cleaner w/o the flapper would clear my air compressor.
  6. What have you guys used to plug the air pump connection on your flapper style air cleaners? Thanks.

Nice pics. The 240Z is still an amazing car. No wonder they couldn't build enough in the '70s.

KYB for ride. Tokico for performance IMHO. I have KYB on my '78 280Z & Tokico HP's on the 240Z.
  11. Exactly the show I was talking about. I heard that comment and could not believe my ears. How many freakin Chevys, Buicks and other piece of crap cars do you think were built? These cars were crap when new. Now people act like they are priceless gems. The Z was/is a landmark vehicle. Many were built and with time very few have survived. Mr. K has stated before the Z was never built to be around 35 years later. True car people know what the Z meant to the world. Thankfully the market is starting to realize the significance of this car. My son & I watched the TVR test. I like the car and wish the 350Z was more raw like it and the original 240Z.

Yea I'd like to see a small car as well as the club logo used somehow. Here is a link to Les Classic Datsun site for some ideas too. http://www.classicdatsun.com/clothing/clothing.html
  13. I agree 100% daddz. To me it is hard to believe my '71 240Z is 35 years old. I see why this car took the US by storm. There was nothing like it for the money. It's really cool to still the S30's racing in the ITS class and still being competitive with mid 90's BMW etc. It is truly a landmark car in spite of what Brock Yates says on the Barrett Jackson Auto Auction.

Personally the NNA stuff doesn't look very nice to me. I would like to see a jacket using out club logo & maybe 240Z or Z sewn on it.
