I am looking for touch up paint for my '71 240Z paint code 904 White. Anybody had any luck getting it off the web or should I get a paint shop to mix me some? The areas I want to touch up are in the engine bay.

Would it make sense for us (this site) to keep up with recent 240Z purchases/pricing, condition, mileage etc? It might help future purchasers.

Nice find. I called the ad but you were buying the car! I paid $11.8K for my '71 240Z. I guess we are helping the prices of everyone else's 240Z!

Mine is 2/71 and its door is similar to yours.

Upper outer seal.

I was looking the '71 240Z over last night and I noticed the PO bought a new upper hatch weather strip but didn't install it. I took a look at installing it last night. Must the hatch be removed to install this piece? I could not seem to get it to fit under the hatch hinges....

Update: pick up the '71 240Z this afternoon. TBK1 I'll try to hook up with you soon as far as the AC fix. I have your fender liner set aside.

Anyone know how the first MARRS races at Summit Pt. & VIR went for the Z's?

I have this part I won on Ebay & don't need. I'll take $30 + $15 shipping for it. It is off a '77 280Z driver's side. Let me know.

Thanks Don. I'll be in touch soon. The owner bought a metal splice fitting so you can cut out the bad part of the hose and join the two hoses together. He will include with the car. If that works it will just need a charge I guess. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

I ordered the NISMO shift kit from Courtesy Nissan. So it is still available from Nissan for the early type A tranny.

Marty, I think the build date on my 240Z is 2/71. So that NISMO kit should work fine. My '78 280Z 5 speed has the bushing kit I got from Chloe at Midwest Z and it helped the shift feel alot. It is just a couple of replacement bushings as I recall.

Thanks Marty. I may go ahead and get the NISMO kit. I think my car is an early Series II car. It has the vertical rear window defogger and gas door latch but side air vents. Here is a pic of the original warranty card w/date & VIN. I think it should be a type A tranny.
