Check out my photo gallery. Just went though this. I ended up with a donor tray section from Roger at the www.Zbarn.com. The body shop cut it out and welded in the new piece. Turned out fine.

I think the adaptor is Momo #3503. How do you get the "Datsun" horn button?

Anybody using one of these wheels in your Z? How do you like it? I am looking at replacing my stock '78 280Z wheel with one. Will the smaller wheel at 13.8" increase steering effort? http://www.ltbmotorsport.com/steeringwheel.html Probably looking at the Prototipo, Monte Carlo, Mod 7 or Mod 78 in 13.8" diameter with hub adapter 3503. Opinions?
  8. Here is the damage before.
  9. Check out my gallery pics. I had similar rust damage on the lower part of the panel below the gas door. I bought the Tabco panel and the body shop cut out the bad part and grafted in the new piece. Turned out fine. The Tabco panel only replaces from the bumper down however.
  10. John at h4lights sells them.
  11. You do. He sells replacement bulbs for the dash too. Read the other link.

I bought the Dynamat door kit today. I'll let you know how it goes.

Dave, Is it feasible to put a thin Dynamat sheet over each door & then cover it with a clear plastic? Which Dynamat product would work best for the doors? I don't want to cause door panel fitting problems.

    Thanks Enrique.

MSA sells the OEM plastic for around a $8/door. I wonder if the door panel will fit OK if you put Dynamat on first then the MSA plastic over the top of that? Should make the door much quieter.

I am leaning towards using the Dynamat like barrier instead of just the plastic vapor barrier. Thoughts?

Thanks Will. I'll try that one. I'd like to kill two birds with one stone ie vapor barrier/sound deadening. Just not sure the Dynamat has a vapor barrier built into it.

I checked the archives and I'm still not sure.

Getting ready to replace the door plastic liner and need recommendations. Do I go with the MSA replacement plastic or a Dynamat sheet instead? Thanks.
