Gav, I like you idea about putting the mustang 24 cyl in your Z, send me a pm and we'll get things rolling. Wait until you guys see my 1982 Mazda 323 with nitrous, supercharger and twin 15in subby power and an explosive 52.0 kilowatts of power. It'll be a few years before it gets out of jail for raping a Suzuki Baleno, I'll post pics on the day of release. My ten bucks. VIPARZ

I cannot help with your stuck key but in my 240 the car would not turn off at all, I could turn the key all the way to lock and take it out and the engine would still be running. To kill the engine I had to pop the hood and hold a screw driver against one of the ingnition coil terminal and earth it against the body. It is how kill switches on motorbikes work. Good luck

I have just gone through the hellish process of removing that tar and swore that I would never do it again so I just stripped the metal on both sides (inside and outside the car) and I am painting it with zinc rust preventing paint. I don't know if you had much rust but you may have noticed that the edges and cracks in the tar collect moisture and therefore are a great place for rust to develop. As my new moulded carpet has sound deadening underlay I am happy with the insulation I have. Also, If I ever have to work on the floor again I don't have to deal with that tar Yours ViparZ

Do you mean never drive your car in the rain ever again, or just while it is stripped

My car already has new springs and shock absorbers and is sitting on 14 x 7's. I am planning on upgrading the wheels in a year or two and want to lower the stance of my car by about 1 1/2 inches and was thinking about using lowering blocks or coil spring locks to do this. Has anyone used blocks in their Z? Are there any other ways of lowering a Z without replacing the springs?

I have been looking around for seats and decided that Saas seats are the best contoured to my butt. Has anyone had any experience with Saas seats in their 240? Vipar Z

Zguy, thanks for that link, I will be constructing a new glovebox out of metal (aluminium or steel, haven't decided yet) as soon as I find a template or dimensions (mine is in a million bits and way beyond salvage). Vipar Z

I just removed my dash to get it restored and the glovebox disintergrated. Any suggestions for effective replacements?

I am looking around for aftermarket seats to go into my 240 and thought I would ask you guys whether you have had good results with any particular make or model. I am thinking of putting skyline seats. Anyway it would be great if you people could let me know what you've done.
