what type of spped or power does a 260z have when running good?

i dont know if your z car is like mine but i have a 260z 1972 and i have the same problem...... the coughing i found to be a very small vaccum leak around the carbs.... the short i found in ththis limit switch thing created to make it so the car wont start without the seat belts plugged in...... i havnt figured it out myself on how to fix my problem..... i just unplug a batterycable for now..... just funny how you are haveing the same problem i have right now also damion 260z owner

hey, my name is Damion and i have a 260z 2+2, it has some sort of saftey switch for the seat belts. My problem is that it is killin my battery..... there is a limit switch box that some one has jumped out.... used thick wire instead of the fusable links provided from factory..... i dont know why but the it pulls power when the battery terminals are hooked up. really frustrating. please help i need a way to bypass that whole interlock system.. i live in florida and there are no emission checks so it is no worry to me... damion
