i agree that 240z are rare up here and the prices might be a titch higher.it won't be a daily driver but i'll use it as much as possible for 6 months from may till october then store it in a heated garage during the winter.my theory is to drive it and enjoy it. my thoughts run along the same line as what cnixzgo suggested.( that is to check it out- wait for auction to end and hope it dosen't sell - then try and deal privately.) the consensus seems to be that starting bid is high. if someone does bid though i might have to jump in.

having read the thread on" how much $$ have you spent on your zed(s)" this seems to be a bargin. some of you have invested twice and sometimes three time as much $, and most have invested at least as much as $12000. this car seems to be built for racing and i just need one for crusin.

i have seen two zeds listed on ebay after i took a look at them on a private sale. both didn't live up to their discriptions. i was very disappionted having travelled some distance. two good rules to follow when buying a car- never buy sight unseen and never buy from family and friends.

this same zed was listed oct 03 and sold for $10100 with 31 bids. i emailed seller and asked what happened(dead beat bidder?) but got no reply.

hey feniboy, welcome to the club. i'm in the same boat as u-been looking for a 240 for the last 9 months. being up north very few 240 available in canada but at least there's a bunch in the U S to look at. take your time and learn from this club and you should be able to get what u want and avoid the pratfallls. good luck.

i paid for an item on ebay by money order and the seller told me the bank wanted to charge him $8, but he got his shipping co. to cash it instead.(no extra charge) i asked about this at the post office and they said they never heard such a thing before. is someone lying?

i'm not a vette nut, but i always liked the 63 slit window vette.kinda like the 240z- beautiful lines and never looked dated.

why not do what red green would do- use a full washer and duct tape(crazyglue) a half washer together.trial and error on the thickness.
