Any advice from the pros
i can not keep my car on campus during the week but i found a couple different spots over here in santa cruz where i could stash her away during till the weekend but i know that i would be worrying about her constantly. if i did bring her, i would keep her under a locked car cover but even still i would worry about her. i feel so lonely without her, it has been 6 weeks since i have driven her and i think about her everyday. yesterday i was on the bus and we passed up craigs beautiful blue z waiting at an intersection and i was feeling so lonely without isabelle (her new name) i am seriously becoming depressed at times but at least if shes at home, i know shes safe in the garage from theives and scratches and all that other stuff. . i just can not decide what to do. has anyone ever been ina similar situation? any comments or advice would be helpful thanks

Is the wheel too close to the caliper?
i think its a good idea to shave them and re-paint them. i know people are going stare and admire those wheels and a pair of bright shiny calipers would be the icing on the cake.

Is the wheel too close to the caliper?
oh no ben, are those scratchesw on your new wheels?? could you just simply buy thinner calipers?

Poll: Should we prevent gallery downloads?
if someone REALLY wanted to steal the images for resale or whatever dumb reason, that right click blocker wouldnt do anything. you would have to place your own person logo like in the attached picture. now i can be certain that none of you sneaky little punks who have been snooping around in my gallery could claim my photographs as your own. im just happy that we finally have a new poll!

4,900 original miles
the guy who will buy this car is going to have a dilemma. how the hell are you going to justify driving this beautiful and possibly lowest mileage z in existance but on the other hand.. why would anyone spend 25,000 for a car to just sit in the garage under a cover.. you know i thought about it. he should take it around the block every weekend, and then drive it back home in reverse. wouldnt that work? http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/0/9/75139009.htm

mirror scratching my paint
ok i took it off and tried tightening it to that metal piece and then snap! i broke the plastic base. it was already a little cracked but now its pretty messed up, i would say beyond super glue repair. damn datsun had to go cheap and stop making those beautiful chrome mirrors! no one would happen to have an extra plastic base layin around would they? anyways, i dont really know how to make it tight enough to stop shaking because even before it snapped, it was still fairly loose. another thing is that the 12mm bit can not reach the nut after it starts to get tighter. so i was thinking of putting a few washers or an oversized nut between the metal piece and the nut to help close the gap. you guys have more experience with this stuff so let me know what your opinions are. and anyone know where can i find a new plastic base? id love to get a new mirror altogether but 100 bucks is ridiculous. btw, whatever happened to midwestz.com?

mirror scratching my paint
you can see from the picture how my mirror shifts a little back and forth and leave these ugly scratches in my paint. i tried tightening it as much as possible but it doesnt seem to help. i was thinking of going around the perimeterof the mirror with rubber cement or hot glue but i dont want it to look cheap or anything. do you guys have any ideas? i was also thinking of cutting out a kind of spacer or gasket out of some thin rubber. does anyone else have this problem?
