Good Toyota 2000GT Website (Off-topic!!)
I know some of you guys are fans of the 2000GT, and I recently came across this great website with a whole LOAD of pictures (don't post them in your gallery please :cheeky:). http://www.ies-geneve.ch/2000gt/ It's in French, but hopefully you can navigate your way around easily enough if you're interested. Make sure you click on the galleries!

Ripped off?
You might be surprised! I wonder how many people here would actually know how to steal one of those images... that said, those who can make a webpage SHOULD know how to use paint well enough to steal an image. So in actual fact it's mainly just stopping the average user. The ones who like to save pictures onto their hard drive on their home computer for future reference. The ones who aren't plagiarising anything. The innocent ones......... Perhaps this anti-leech stuff aint so flash afterall? Hmm... :cross-eye

Ripped off?
Seems a lot of people learned from the thread, too. That's got to be a bonus! This is a subject that I'm glad was discussed - thanks to Alan, Enrique, Mr. Camo, Moyest (ironic isn't it!) and everyone else who contributed I hope everyone is clear now about their rights! In my opinion, it's a very relevant topic.

Wheel Weights
Hey, it's still a good idea though. Just pop in the additional info if you could, Allan. It might also help if you could do a quick conversion to kg, seeing as some places outside the US use the metric system nowadays. I wonder how much the stock steel wheels weigh...

50 Years of Nissan Design
50 years ago Nissan set up it's own design department (according to this)! Thought some of you might like this little read: http://www.carpages.co.uk/nissan/nissan_celebrates_50_years_of_design_part_1_20_08_04.asp?switched=on&echo=542921604 It featured in the local paper today. But I have a question - how did they.. errmm... design cars before this? Was it all contracted work? Does anybody know?

Cheap Shipping Company in Japan
Rob, my stuff was all sent through just normal post - "EMS" Shipping for any large parts like that. Don't get it sent yet - it does sound tad expensive. Do you have someone in Japan who's willing to take care of a bit of paperwork for you? What are the grilles Rob? Got a GT-R grille???

can you spot the "mistake"???
Those look like very strange bumpers for a 240Z to me...

GRR! brake lights not working!
Don't want to appear a simpleton, but if your fuse is melting the fusebox you might also want to check it's the right kind of fuse once you fix the problem. I'd guess your problem is what Inf said -"sometimes when the fuse block melts it can cause the connectors to have intermittent connections."

240K's X 3 plus Prince Gloria at outer Sydney Wreckers
Good stuff!! Definitely not cheap considering they're going to junk it tomorrow, but I'm still happy! About the boot trim - I know the corners won't fit, but the straight middle bit might. :/ I don't know! But if it's perfect, I'm willing to gamble an extra 20 to find out (next time if you get time - no hurry). Thanks for having a look around! I'll PM you about that bonnet trim. Hope you found some stuff for YOURSELF after all that searching for us!!

Ripped off?
Wow, look at the action here!!! I had to do quite a bit of research on this exact topic a couple of years ago- from what I understand we have nailed it. If you take a picture the copyright is yours automatically... etc. etc. Just read what Mr. Camo and Alan T said and it's pretty straight-forward. Can we just respect what those who know what they're talking about, and learn from what they have to say? Remember what we decided recently? If you know what you're saying is correct, please share it with us. If you're making a guess, make sure you let us know it is no more than that. If you're listening, listen and say thankyou if you learn something!

Gmail invites
The main advantages are it's very quick (much quicker than hotmail), you get 1000 MB of storage space, and messages show up as conversations (looks a bit like a simple forum). I have some invites too.

Ripped off?
Hmmm.. Moyest is a good guy, I'm sure he meant no ill. But yeah, you have a point. I don't think I'd like my car to be posted in another gallery without my name attributed to it. Maybe send him a PM

Hey, what do you think?
I think the disadvantages far outweigh the advantages (a cool look) on this one mate. As for what colour - flat black works for me too. Not too sure how easy it would be to clean though. Maybe a satin black would be easier?

240K's X 3 plus Prince Gloria at outer Sydney Wreckers
Jim, I was meaning the centrecaps for YOUR car!! Remember how you told me 3 were missing? Here's a couple of pictures of mine (sorry about the quality - it's actually a greyish colour). Hasn't your faux wood plastic thing (or is it vinyl??) come off yet? I've never seen a car with a good one!

240K's X 3 plus Prince Gloria at outer Sydney Wreckers
GOOD FIND!! Make sure you check for centrecaps! The Gloria sounds intriguing.... I'm after a few things: >> Any chrome trim (surrounding the front grille and rear panel) as long as its STRAIGHT - thats the hardest part! (Rear chrome from sedan will not fit coupe) >> Streak and crack-free side door glass both sides (coupe, not sedan) >> GOOD condition auto shifter (you know how they deteriorate) So, just the really hard-to-find stuff! I doubt any car will have those parts, but if so thats great!! I've PMed you with my mobile number. If I were you I'd pick off ANYTHING from that gold one going to the crusher, you'll never know when you might need another windscreen wiper/door handle/air vent/etc...

Hey - Newbie
Very nice looking R32 there Josh! Almost a GT-R There are a few members here in Brisbane/Gold Coast area, don't know about Sunshine Coast though. I don't actually own a Z... but as you might have noticed this site is also home to a few 240K (C110 Skyline as you should know :cheeky:) owners - myself included. I'd get looking for a Z as soon as possible. It might take quite some time to find one you like, for best results I hope you're willing to travel! I got my Z from Sydney (then sold it so someone who drove it back down to Canberra!!).

Newbie
Fair, driveable condition I'd pay up to 7000 for. That said, you might have more trouble finding the Z than the money...

240K Ignition Lock/Barrel
Rob, open your glovebox and have a look at the tray. There should be the Key Numbers there. If not, the locksmith should be able to cut one from your existing key - tell the guy it's difficult to turn and maybe he'll be able to fix it?? I'm not sure about that but some locksmiths seem to be able to work magic.

wakefield no speed limit day
That saddens me - especially the part about the wheel bouncing back into your door!! How unlucky can you be?? Hope you're mates with a panel beater. Things like this happen, you're lucky it wasn't worse :classic:

R-Factory GT-R
I don't know if you're still looking at these photos Alan, but if so, is there a story behind the wheels? I thought all the Works cars had the gunmetal single-piece Watanabes... am I wrong or is this a bit of creativity by "R Factory"?
