ALL OF THEM!! They are all "D" cars or so I've heard... a bit like our "Z" cars are 240Z, 260Z, 280Z....... and NOTHING ELSE! Also, I've known people to refer to their M3's, M5's, Z3 M Roadsters etc. as "M" cars!

In my dreams: Watanabe wheels
I don't think it's to do with the paint- but strangely the weight difference seems to be quite a lot larger on the 14x7.5's and 14x6.5's than the 14x7's. Now that's odd. My rear wheels look very old... I've got no idea how old though, and wouldn't want to guess! Does anyone know exactly how to measure offset with a ruler? This could be useful... Looking at the poor paint job and massive amounts of curb-rash on my rear ones, I'd say they were on some crazy AE86 drifter or something. They are definitely not pristine. My front ones look relatively clean, and only have a few minor scratches and of course one huge dent that has been banged out. The polished lip was dull, I polished them and they came out very shiney. That indicates to me the wheels were probably on a car who's owner wasn't too finicky, and certainly wasn't too careful when driving, but could afford nice looking wheels. I wonder what they were on... Yours, Ben, on the other hand, look like they've just come out of a box!

In my dreams: Watanabe wheels
In 14x7.5, type A is half a kg heavier than B. That's curious...

In my dreams: Watanabe wheels
Awesome, I can't wait for pics. This is interesting about the sizes and offsets. Is the offset always more negative for Type A than Type B in all sizes? Perhaps we've had it around the wrong way all the time? Surely 14x7.5" Type-A Watanabes come in more than one offset though?? Could you give a link to the page you're referring to? (I want to find out the offsets of my wheels!)

Wheel Decision
Those look great, except too big IMO. What are they, 16"?? How wide are they F and R?

Well, Rick did guess the E-type! They're commonly referred to as an "E"... How about the Citroen "D"?

Another Ebay Cedric
Love the shape. If that other dark blue one was closer, I'd seriously consider it. This one looks like it needs way too much work though... imagine the headaches finding parts for it would cause!

P-plate restrictions discussed
If you can afford a Z, you can afford a Defensive Driving course! They're a couple of hundred bucks.. come on. If you feel you don't want to part with that much - simple! Just tell your parents what you'd like for your birthday. I bet they'll LOVE to buy you it.

P-plate restrictions discussed
I would like to see anyone disagree with this point. It's very valid - I'd like to see statistics as to the average number of passengers in car crashes where the driver is a P-plater. Another reason why Z's are awesome ONE PASSENGER ONLY!! (most of the time :cheeky:)

What would a good price be....
I don't think a list of Black Pearl Edition cars exists. And even if it did - where would the data be collected from? If you mean you could find out what VIN prefix the Black Pearl Edition cars had, and simply compare VIN's, unfortunately the Black Pearl Edition cars carried the SAME prefix. That's why it's so hard to be sure.

Wow, cool, looks great! Original colour too, but the dash reminds me of dead pig skin for some reason...

BTW, I do not disagree that something should be done. Just that the "means to an end" philosophy is NOT the way to govern a state.

P-plate restrictions discussed
Funny, we have some of the loosest laws about P-platers in Australia (dont have to wear the sign - although it's kinda becoming a fashion statement anyway....). New Zealand has a similar situation with the curfues and that, but the legal limit over there is 15 and they get off their P's earlier. 10pm isn't even late anyway, I guess they've picked that number anticipating a bit of bargaining with opposition... you know, like you do with your mother But anyway, those restrictions are way too harsh, 10pm? No passengers? You cant enforce something so radical.. it's impossible to change culture in the short term like that! Won't happen. Not any time soon, anyway. I think the system NSW (is this right?) has is a good one. It limits P-platers to driving only certain lower-powered cars - nothing over 200 HP or something. That's a more realistic, enforceable, and probably effective proposition IMO. Why do you say it would be worse, Chris???
