Yes that's exactly true also. The course I did stressed A LOT that this was purely DEFENSIVE driving, not OFFENSIVE. We did not learn how to drag the cars or go sideways, we learnt braking techniques, avoiding objects and making decisions when you're driving (forward-thinking). Advanced Driving courses are a little different however and I do suspect a lot of drivers go out after doing that with a somewhat over-confident attitude like you said.

This is pretty unchartered territory I think... you might be on your own on this one!

Guns kill, too. That ad campaign is ridiculous and as Datto-Zed pointed out, complete bollocks. All the speed cameras and millions of dollars put into advertisements hasn't really worked, has it. The truth of the matter is driver training is what the governments need to put (more) effort into, and they KNOW IT! Personally I went to a defensive driving course as I know I'm not skilled (although admittedly better than some) and I don't want my car to get damaged, let alone myself...
  5. Hey mate, I think you're thinking abotu ZKid (Chris) - he's studying to become a tooth-plucker. I'm studying IT and International Business.
  6. Damn, at 9? Horny little bugger...

Almost. The manifold will bolt straight on (once you pry off the old one) - the only problems arise when it comes to accelerator and choke linkages. For the accelerator, you can mount the bracket on the firewall at a different angle (it seems as though the bracket and holes in the firewall were made with this in mind, as you dont have to fabricate or drill anything to change the position of hte bracket), and then it should fit fine. I had my choke fitted when the car was getting some other work done, you'll need a couple of cables and patience getting it hooked up on the inside of teh car, but it should be easy enough... This is with dual round-tops, from a 240Z... I dont claim to be a mechanic though, if anyone else disagrees or has something to add please do.
  9. Rick I can do all that ... but no alcohol? Dunno about that! 1968, how old were you then? (forward thinking ) Posting a picture eh??? Have to try that one one day :stupid:
  10. , would you have it??? My computer is STILL getting fixed, and the camera seems to have epilepsy. Honest! After seeing all the faces here I don't think I have much to be shy about... :tapemouth p.s. Rick you look much younger than I expected - your life hasn't taken its toll on you quite as much as I had imagined. Keep the peace

Hi Halz, Just did a quick search on the web and came up with a few articles - all saying that the government is PLANNING to put them there. So I'd say you're safe... guess you'll just have to play the waiting game now though.

I searched on google to find that apparently these sporty L series 1.4 litres were sold as a 140Z in South Africa.......... but that doesn't mean it's true.

Hmm, I think I was confusing 2 similar videos I've seen. The one I was thinking of had a lighthouse which had a light turn around at an accelerated speed, and some other strange things. My memory is failing me already! :disappoin

  19. Is it just me or does that car have orange indicators on the back? Also, buyers may want to know that this car doesn't come with teh front fender - since you took it to use on yours... is that right? Looks pretty solid, if only the Australian Z market was as big as Americas...:disappoin

They're only plastic, nothing a bit of sandpaper wont fix :cheeky: Or maybe I should get the wheels bored out a bit. That would cost money, though... hrmm I gave you a clue! Here's another: they come from Japan!
