WTB: 260Z 2 seater, any condition
I think there is only one way to sort out this very confusing issue of cars and shells and rust thrown in the mix to excite things a bit. Both of you give me your cars/shells. That settles it. OK?

Vote on a Wheel!
I like Race The metal will blend well with your air vents and other little chrome bits aroudn the place. Change your gearknob to something chrome/stainless steel (but make sure it's a small one - nothing worse than a bowling ball for a gearknob) and it'll be a niiiice interior.

compe steering wheel?
that tacho looks like any old after-market monster tacho. e.g. http://www.vpwmailorder.com/asp/product_page.asp?sub_cat_id=603&manu_id= That said, "any old monster tachos" aren't cheap at all... probably cheaper than your factory comp tacho but wahey.

Z died 40km from home!
Well, ok guys I've had the whole line flushed out and the mechanic dropped the tank to have a look inside. No rust in there at all. Hooray! :classic: He said it was probably crud from the actual steel fuel lines, and that not much crud came out of the lines themselves. I'm guessing all of the crud got pushed up towards teh hose from fuel being pumped that direction and I fixed most of the problem myself when I replaced the hose. That can be backed up because the car actually ran fine when I drove it to the mechanic. The only problem was it backfiring and idling badly, because dad thinks he can tune SUs ROFL So, the Z is back on the road!!! Thanks for all the help guys.

Air Dams, Spoilers and Exhaust Fumes
That's a pretty good model there... you make the model yourself too?? You should make more movies with that car

mm looks good except for the illusion which makes the side windows look way out of proportion to the body. If you have a black Z you need tint.

With BRE or without?
Yes. Generally I dont like those spoilers, but since I've seen more and more pics of them, I like them now. The spoiler especially suits your car for a couple of design reasons too. 1 - black and yellow makes corners and creases look sharper, 2 - your yellow mudflaps point sharply downwards, the spoiler pointing upwards finishes off the lines of the car on the top as well as the bottom. Or maybe you just wanted a simple "YES" ????? well in that case.............. YES !

maybe he owns a chroming company? Now this gives me an idea.. how much do you reckon it would cost to chrome an ENTIRE Z?

Major structural rust problem! HELP!
Good luck with your quote/... i live on the gold coast. A good 2 or 3 hour drive up there but the fact that I can relate to you (student, no money) and you being ripped -off means I dont mind the drive.

240Z tail lights vs. 260Z tail lights
Well, first you have to find a set Other than that I think the actual metal they screw into is different (larger hole in the 260Z) so it might be an idea to change that somehow too. You also need a whole new rear panel (the grey thing), plus the numberplate light is different. Old parts like these you might find in a junk yard for $100 if you're lucky, otherwise it will cost big bucks. I'm just going on some assumptions and guesses here, I'm sure other (more knowledgable) people can help further.

Is it lifestyle
A little off-track here, talking about the 2+2. Personally I think they're a great looking car if you totally discount the 2 seater. How people could call them ugly (being somewhat hypocritical here as I have been known to call them bad words myself!) is beyond me, as the exterior is 80% the same as the 2 seater. Basically the 2+2 is a fantastic looking car, but often gets called ugly simply because the 2 seater is absolutely bloody beautiful. That little difference in the length/quarter window/roof kink does so much to the car's appearance...

Wow, a Ferrari owner who isn't pretentious? You British are strange......... ROFL Welcome Paul, you've come to the right place! Your car looks fantastic, can't say I like wire wheels on a Z but those mirrors look pretty good. What are they from? Upload some more pics to your gallery if you like!

Major structural rust problem! HELP!
Sounds like a possibility. Although after 20 odd years of the car being impounded dont you think it might be a little MORE rusted? There are lots of red rusted Z's around, being honest and sensible chances are this is a different car. But YES it is still worth looking into I think, but beforeyou do, was your car a 240 or 260? I had a feeling it wasa 260?
