What are you paying for gas?
I was working on 4.5 litres to a gallon... have prices dropped recently Alan, or am I just terrible at maths?! :stupid:
-
What are you paying for gas?
When I was in England early this year petrol was at about 74 pence a litre - seeing as we have all decided to convert it into American bucks and gallons that equates to about $5.41 a gallon. Beat that!!! Here on the Gold Coast we're hovering just above 90c a litre, the same as biker.

Side View
No 240Z came with mags from the factory. These were either put on at the dealership or by the owner. They're Magnum wheels and were quite popular in the 70s. I have an original advertisement for these exact wheels in a car magazine from 1974, so they're pretty period-correct whenever they were fitted!

Screen Names - Where Do They Come From?
I dont think so Rick! I think the guy who ordered all 50 high-spec performance and luxury cars to be stolen already had a garage full of Z's!!! Have you seen the movie? It's a pretty decent movie just to watch all the nice carssss... too bad the XJ220 appeared on screen for no more than 3 seconds!

Clive's 240KGL
the GT-R was a S20-ed version of this with hotter bits everywhere. The 240K GL is the base model sold in Australia and a couple of other lucky places around the world.

Oh, I see. I thought it looked like an L24 but you said it was a trick bit of kit so I immediately thought it was just some backyard jobbie with the average L28 swapped in, as it is kinda poor condition. If it's a real race car from way back, then it explains everything, and the reasonably average condition is quite excusable!!!!!!! Any more pics of the outside / inside?

Cool! I personally don't like red on the car, but hey. What's he got under there? L28?

Extractors for Datsun 240K on a 260Z?
Ah, glad it's not just me who can't see those forums then. This club is *very* good if you have a Z. The blokes here can help you with just about any problem you might run into!!! Extractors should fit the head perfectly...

Extractors for Datsun 240K on a 260Z?
Depends what model 240K I imagine, but if this is anything to go from, they wont fit!! I was looking at a set of extractors and this is what the owner had to say about them: "I really cannot supply much of the info you require as I bought the extractors at a swap day. However they do have 89 skyline written on them and they do line up with L24 head ports as I have an L24 in one of my Z cars.Due to their shape they will not fit on a Z car due to contact with the chassis rail and Z extractors are made differently to fit.(I now have a set of Z extractors so I can verify this!!)" Take from that what you will... but don't blame me if they DO fit! btw welcome to *my* club datto-zed

Datsun vs Datsun?
Well, looks like I've got a bit of investigating to do. STRANGE thing I have come across just now : "Similar to its predecessor from 1969, the GT-R was available as a coupe (KPGC110) and a 4-door sedan (PGC110)." Four door GT-R's for the C110 ?????? source: http://www.skyline-nissan.com/skyline_history.htm

Datsun vs Datsun?
Ah, the seats sound interesting. Were they bucket like the attachment or pretty normal looking like the ones in My Gallery? Or somewhere in between?
